"I turned up at the hotel (after a bus journey from Petra ) only to get some excuse from staff about maintenance work in my room!! Truth is, Zaman have a very old booking system and because of their location and price, get over booked. I was then sent by Zaman to their 'sister' hotel the Hotel Arabesque, in a completely different area of Amman. Zaman Ya Zaman, it is 2023!!!! Modernise!!! Zaman could have contacted me to tell me or cancelled my booking earlier...."

"Cons: The building has no elevator. Stairs only. The rooftop was closed. Noisy neighborhood. Slightly uncomfortable beds. Pro: walkable neighborhood. Closr to all historic attraction. Great breakfast (big portions). Friendly and accomodating staff. Hotel is clean. Nice shopping district around it and they can help arrange your tours to other places within Jordan. "

"There are no signs in english saying ameer al sharq. The sign on the hotel actually says orient hotel. The entrance is on the right side of the hotel. This hotel is a budget hotel and you will get what you pay for. Do not expect much.
