「The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.」

「Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend」

「Good as a base for the surrounding areas. Quirky, could do with a refresh, but otherwise very accommodating host and the pub next door does good food & beers」

「Great atmospheric cottage in a fantastic location, next to the pub, lovely shops and restaurants and a stones through from the beach and harbour. There is no garden or outside as such but we loved sitting out on the street and watching the world go by (this might need to be considered if taking pets, but ours loved it) Excellent communication and a lovely bottle of wine on arrival - thank you!」

「Lovely break, cosy cottage. Needs to be hand soap, logs and a frying pan provided 」

「Lovely accomodation decorated to a high standard. Little personal touches made a huge difference such as the welcome hamper and excellent dog friendly facilities. Very peaceful, not a great deal around (we found 1 shop and a chippy) however so you need to travel if you want to take in the area. Saltburn and Redcar not far away by car, Whitby also nearby and a great day out 」
