「Lovely stay. The cottage was just what we expected when we arrived as the online listing is very accurate. The location of the cottage is the biggest plus, but it is also appreciated that the owners are generous in providing all the little extra things within the cottage to help you make the most of your time away. 」

「I booked the wrong week like a moron. Pauline was still able to accommodate even though I didn’t notice until about noon the day we arrived. It’s a very well done barn conversion. It was great having an enclosed yard for the dog. You can’t beat the price and we even got to feed the alpacas.」

「We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. 「Holly Cottage is a mix of old and new with plenty of space for 7 adults who went to walk and catch up with each other.The photos don’t quite do it justice. Kitchen is large and has absolutely everything you may need. 「The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.」

「My family and I had a wonderful stay at York cottage. There are several cottages so it felt like a tiny hamlet. Having access to the beautiful hotel grounds was a bonus, especially with having our dog with us. Inside the property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Super clean, well equipped and with very comfortable beds. 「The holiday cottage is fabulous, great location and really well equipped. Only one complaint about the actual property being the bed mattress in both bedrooms is soooo uncomfortable. We tested both and in the end used the second duvet as a mattress topper, but still had sore hips and a bad back all week!
