The location of the cottage is the biggest plus, but it is also appreciated that the owners are generous in providing all the little extra things within the cottage to help you make the most of your time away. 」

「We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. 「My family and I had a wonderful stay at York cottage. There are several cottages so it felt like a tiny hamlet. Having access to the beautiful hotel grounds was a bonus, especially with having our dog with us. Inside the property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Super clean, well equipped and with very comfortable beds. Sandsend within walking distance for those who don’t mind a 15-20mins walk (or a very short drive) and a brilliant beach, most of which is dog friendly. If...

「The holiday cottage is fabulous, great location and really well equipped. Only one complaint about the actual property being the bed mattress in both bedrooms is soooo uncomfortable. We tested both and in the end used the second duvet as a mattress topper, but still had sore hips and a bad back all week! 「We loved our stay at Holly Cottage, the kitchen is fabulously equipped, and house has a welcoming friendly decor. The kitchen and snug is a fabulous place to gather and where we spent a lot of our time. Parking at the property was easy, and plenty of room for our 2 cars - but with a car park just around the corner it would be easy with more vehicles. Lovely base to explore so many interesting places. Local cafe just acroos the road was great for bread and milk supplies. Nothing not to love...

「The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.」

「Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend」
