We had an Exec room with lounge access. Good: Good location. Very handy for the metro station where you can buy tickets. Remember to validate (time stamp) the tickets using the little yellow machines between the ticket room and the platform the first time you use them. Polite staff Clean Exec lounge had reasonable selection of cold snacks, and wine. Not so good: Stained sink. Safely deposit box was not easily accessible (on the floor inside the wardrobe) Room too hot. Air conditioning was not working so we were advised to open a window but it wouldn’t stay open. Room was too hot even when it was only 2 degrees outside. Poor breakfast – several coffee machines not working, toaster not working, egg whites uncooked and runny, hot food was barely warm, no omelette chef on one of the days. €20 each to use the pool, even when staying in exec room, so we did not use it.

We really did like everything about our stay Even the communication before we arrived was great. The berakfast was fantastic and so much choice. The location, just next to the bridge was perfect, providing a quiet area with easy access to the town. The staff were also friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay again if we return to Prague.

Scultpor Jaroslav Rona is the author of a bronze memorial to Franz Kafka which was installed in Prague's Dusni, or Holy Spirit Street. This little square in the middle of Prague's Dusni Street is what the city's famous native, writer Franz Kafka, probably saw each time he looked out of his window. The historic Jewish Quarter in Prague is where Kafka spent most of his life - and often features in his novels and short stories. The tall black sculpture represents a headless male figure in a suit with a somewhat smaller figure of Kafka sitting on his shoulders. Jaroslav Rona says he found inspiration for the statue in Kafka's work.
