"The hotel itself was amazing, and the staff, great. It was a TERRIBLE experience trying to arrive to the hotel. There was a parade that night and it was truly unsafe for us to get there. You could tell people were drunk in the streets, poor street lights and no help at all from the locals. Very rude with directions. When trying to make it through the gates, security was really confused and sent us the wrong way multiple times. "

"I hardly ever write reviews but I felt like I had to for the Raajkutir! Such an absolute gem of a hotel. Unremarkable from the outside, but once you enter the grounds are so beautiful and traditional in style, you can’t quite believe that the hustle and bustle of Kolkata is just the other side of the wall. The rooms are STUNNING, the food delicious, and the staff are falling over themselves to help you. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Raajkutir! "
