「It is listed as a hotel but is barely a room. There was a shared bathroom which was not well maintained. Essentially it is a slumlord type floor of an apartment that is shared. It says free parking, but it is just street parking on a different road from the hotel, and is only free from the late evening until 9 am. There was not reception but a person that came about 15 minutes after I called (much longer than he said he would be there). There was a family that came the next morning, and they...

「What a find. The staff were super helpful the property was centrally located. It even had a grocery store next door. The room was well appointed amazingly it had a desk and a television. You cannot go wrong staying at this hostel. 」

「I liked the room, in a flat, it was the front-parlor back in the day, with the connecting room blocked-off, like they do in San Francisco. I met a woman in San Francisco who told me Lisbon reminded her of San Francisco, the vistas of the hills, it reminded me of her. More love could be instilled into the lodging.」

「It’s old; it’s a lot of stair climbing; well located and serves a great breakfast. Has limited bar. Work being done on premises is noisy. Staff is friendly and professional. Curtained beds for privacy with reading lights. Towel provided. Right on Rossio Square—walk anywhere downtown. 」

「It’s a budget hostel to meet your basic needs. I stayed in 2nd floor, where I don’t have any problem at all. It depends on which toilet you use but bring hand soap with you. If you like to prepare your own food, you might need to bring your own utensils and dishes, you might also need to bring a pan for you to cook. I bought one near to the next block, they are not that expensive. There are many stores around it, and very close to the train station. Also, not far from the airport. 」

「Dieses Hostel wirkt ist mehr als provisorisch. Billig eingezogene Zwischenwände, laut und beengt. Weder passten Beschreibung, noch die in der Anzeige gezeigten Bilder zur Einrichtung und Ausstattung unseres Zimmers. Bei Ankunft stand das von uns gebuchte Zimmer schlichtweg nicht zur Verfügung. Wir mussten mit Kleinkind in Etagenbetten in einem viel zu kleinen Zimmer übernachten. Gebucht hatten wir ein großes Familienzimmer, anderenfalls wäre das Hostel für uns nicht in Frage gekommen. 「Middle of city center, very convenient for sightseeing. Nice, kind helpful staff, clean room, but the windows of my room had some gap between floor, so cool wind were coming inside whole night. They prepare extra blanket for this room, so it was OK and in summer it should be advantage to get some cool air in. ...and you might not expect river view from your window!」
