We saw whales a bunch of times in the distance. Great home base. Must do's: Volcanoes National Park; night snorkel with Manta Rays; Hawaii Botanical Gardens; Black Sand Beach. 「The check in process was so smooth and the property management company allowed me to early check in without additional fee. The room was so clean and the bed and the day bed in the living room were comfortable. I could see the beautiful ocean view from the bed every morning that made me so happy! There were some restaurants and stores within 10 minutes walk from the condo. There were enough dishes and pans, cutlery some spices and teas for cooking. 「This place is very spacious (being on the corner). It had everything we needed to visit the beach. Cooler, chairs, towels, etc. We only stayed a few nights, but the reserved parking space was very nice and the beach next door was perfect for afternoons. A major grocery store is just mins away via car. Lots of windows let you watch the ocean, and fish activity.」

We met a nice "neighbor" on the same floor and had a pleasant visit with her and her dog. Kalalau beach is near by which provides nice snorkeling experience. We will come back and visit again.」

「This is the perfect place for a quiet family getaway. House has everything you could ask for with comfortable beds and pillows. Full kitchen with spices on hand. Game room and dvds on first floor.
