Very disorganized at the beginning. Met in a tourist bureau that had emeralds to sell. The tour Left half hour late and no one from company told us what the issue was. Walked to the bus with A guy who didn’t introduce himself. Tour guide on the bus did a great job speaking in Spanish and English and he was very helpful. Started out at a stop on the beach where peddlers were trying to sell us stuff. The first two official stops at the fort and the monastery were very good and informative. We left the tour as the bus arrived back in historic city as the plan was to go meander around the old city and end up at an emerald factory, again shopping opportunity-not what we signed up for. And we had already walked around the area and been hassled by the rappers, peddlers and women wanting to take photos with us for a price. The description of the tour was mis-leading. Could have done more interesting/historic visits instead of stops on beach/side of road and emerald factory.

This was a great tour. Our tour girl Cielo (Sky) was fabulous. She was great at what she does. Took plenty of pictures for me to have memories. There is a lot of walking at the Castillo Felipe Fortess so wear comfortable shoes. Hills, stairs and tunnels to travel thru but it definitely was exciting to see and hearing the history about the fortress. It did start raining when we got there, Sky gave us rain gear. Rain didn’t last long at all maybe 5 minutes. Cerro de la Poppa was fabulous. The view of the city is absolutely gorgeous. Only thing is the vendors are aggressive. It’s best not to even look there way unless you want to be harassed long time. Just keep moving that’s best. Say nothing. Not even no thank you. Overall I give this trip a 10/10 I was solo and got exactly what I wanted from this tour.

Our guide, Eddy, was fantastic. He's clearly a passionate person with loads of knowledge to share. He speaks good English so it was great for us to learn about Cartagena. The tour was awesome. Be sure to bring lots of water because Cartagena is HOT and walking around can get uncomfortable without water. We got to see good views of the city from Cerro de La Popa. He pointed out and described Bazurto market, and I'm really glad my friend and I decided not to go after his description of it. He also pointed out important landmarks and different architectural facts I would've have never known. Great tour!
