The guides Mitch & Judd were fantastic. We weren’t able to do the Muir woods part because of the really bad storm that went thru on the Sunday. But the guides figured out something else for us to do. They were very knowledgeable about the history & pointed out lots of sites that we passed. The wine tasting was really good. I enjoyed the Roche winery the best.

Overall, I'm glad I booked this tour. The best parts were the Muir Woods (walking independently on the trails that winded through the tall redwood trees) and the first winery. The grounds and the chardonnay were lovely. Also, it was nice to have a designated driver (and/or not have to rent a car in San Fransisco and drive myself to the Sonoma and Napa Valleys). However, if you are considering this tour, you should also know that you have to pay your own way into the Muir Woods ($15/person) and your own lunch in Sonoma. They also have an obnoxious tipping guide sign hanging up in the van. All in all, I paid a lot more than the initial cost of the tour. The tour guide didn't offer much in terms of interesting facts about the area, but he was a good driver, and I felt safe in the van. Again, overall, I would recommend the tour, but it wasn't a 5-star, spectacular tour like others I have been on in other cities.

This was a great tour and our guide Jay was really good too. Muir Woods is a relaxing start to the day and was enjoyable. Sonoma is a nice little town and has plenty of options for lunch and drink before the wine tour starts. We only had 6 people on our tour which made it very sociable and fun. The first Winery in Sonoma was Roche and although it was good, it was less informative and less of an experience compared with our Napa tour at Ru Vango, which was on a different level and excellent. It was a very good day out.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, and provided us with a lot of California history, along with tips for our day. We had a pretty quiet group, but it was a good day. Great way to get in a good hike and a couple wine tastings. I thought the tour was supposed to stop in Sausalito on the way back. The only reason our group did is because that is where we were staying. Just stopped to drop us off. Felt bad for the rest of the group - Sausalito is a quaint little town with cute shops and great restaurants.

Overall a great day. Molly the guide and her brother Ned'the moustache' were a great combination and contributed to the fun day. Muir Woods was excellent but the stop in Sasiluto was disappointing as many shops not open but it was only a short stop. Sabina Square at lunch stop was lots better. Peters Cellars should be dropped as a tasting stop. The owner Peter obviously know his stuff but apart from saying what awards he'd got he didn't interact at all. The second visit to Robledo's vineyard was brilliant. Wine tasting explained and interfaced with everyone.
