The Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is the largest salt desert in the world, with more than 10,000 km². Formed by the evaporation of prehistoric lakes, its vast white expanse creates a unique landscape. During the rainy season, it becomes a giant mirror. Highlights include cactus islands and points of interest such as the train cemetery.
