Culebra was amazing! Just a little disappointing bc they gave my son a kid snorkeling mask and when we got in the water we realized it was too small and the straps kept loosening on their own, we need an adult mask but the tour guide was already half way across the water and we had no way to snorkel without a mask and missed the first part of the trip. Island is beautiful though.

I want to start off by saying that Rafael was a great snorkel guide! I appreciated his friendliness and his ability to guide us to the right spots to see the turtles and the coral reefs. My critique on the experience is not a reflection on them. I think there is an opportunity to level set on expectations for people considering this activity. If all you want to do is visit flamenco beach, you will pay substantially less by purchasing the ferry ticket on your own. When you do the math, what you are paying approximately $115 for is the snorkel experience. The light snack mentioned in the package is a bag of chips and small water bottle. So pack accordingly. At the end of the day, the biggest benefit was not having to worry about the hassle of purchasing the ferry tickets and transportation to and from once on the island of Culebra. It was a stress free activity.

We had an amazing tour experience with Rafael and Joshua as our guides. They both were very professional, kind, patient, yet organized and efficient. They truly were the highlight of our trip. The itinerary of the tour was superb… enough tike snorkeling and a great amount of time at the beach. They provided chairs for the beach which was an unexpected treat. I highly recommend this tour while visiting Puerto Rico, and if you are fortunate enough to have Joshua and Rafael you will have a great encounter.

The snorkeling at Tamarindo was incredible — we saw several turtles and a sting ray! I didn’t feel rushed at all, it felt like the perfect amount of time at each spot. It was very convenient to have transportation/snorkel gear/chairs/a little water bottle provided. The guides were attentive and it was overall a great experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting a stress free taste of Culebra!

The flamenco beach was beautiful and it’s definitely worth going there. However, this tour experience was not bad. First, we were asked to be at ferry terminal at 7:50am, we woke up very early and managed to get there around 7:45am. However, the tour guide didn’t show up until 8:25am. Then, At the snorkeling place, my daughter’s snorkeling equipment was not working, I had to give mine to her so that she and my husband could catch up with the group (the group and the tour guide were swimming away to the snorkeling area already at that time). I would think the tour guide should make sure everyone’s equipment is working first. I ended up just standing at the beach for that whole hour waiting for the group to finish the snorkeling.

Little bit disorganized at the Ceiba ferry terminal. They texted the day before to arrive at 7:50am and after 8:20am would be a no show. We arrived at 7:30am to check in at 8am, no one showed til 8:40ish and I called the number that was on the text and he did answer saying he was on the way. We were getting concerned , seeing other tours already gathering with their guides. The host showed just before boarding and he had the tickets and got us and group on board the ferry to Culebra but he doesn't travel with the group. They texted a photo of a shuttle bus and driver to pick us up in Culebra but the guy and the shuttle that picked us up was a different guy and different bus. My guess is they work with various independent drivers and snorkeling guides on the island and get who's available at the time. I'd suggest to keep an eye out for the members in your group you are with, as one of them spotted the driver with the I Ventures shirt and was already heading toward the bus before we knew what was going on. The snorkeling at Tamarindo is guided and you basically park and put on the gear, leave belongings in the bus and get a quick lesson and go! So be ready with swimsuits on. Note the snorkeling is not along the shore in shallow water, it goes out into the deeper areas 20'-25' or so and you get a waist float, and the snorkeling gear. My older daughter, 18yrs and myself were fine as we followed the guide out. My younger daughter and wife were not as confident in the deeper waters, so they stayed back, but there is not much to see in the shallow areas. The shuttle driver actually gets in the waters an stays back to help anyone , then goes out with the group, which was super nice of him. We may have missed this info about the deeper waters in the other reviews as I don't think it's in the details in the trip description. In the deeper areas, we saw sea turtles and a stingray along with many small fish in the reef areas, which was great and our main snorkeling guide was very informative! After this, you get back on the bus and go Flamenco beach where you are on your own to explore and relax and buy food if you want in the kiosks and the food we got was pretty good. The tell you a time to meet back up at the bus, for us at 4:20pm, and take you back to the 5:30pm ferry and that's the day.
