"This is my second time staying here. It is clean, pleasant, and reasonably priced. Most appreciate that it is in the touristy area of Santa Teresa and near LAPA. That is nice too. There's also a great view of the center from most rooms. My only minus, which isn't tied to the place, is that if you're out late, it can be difficult to get an uber up into the steep hills of Santa Teresa. Most taxis will though."

"Great hotel, room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Reception were always very helpful. The area is in a "party" area of the inner city, lots of bars and restaurants, and character, though can be a little loud on weekends. The hotel is within easy walking distance (10-15 mins) of the cathedral and city centre, which was wonderful."

Excellent service

"I was able to check-in early for a 50% rate after arriving at the hotel at 6.30am. The service was excellent, even letting me borrow an adaptor to charge my phone etc.. Hotel room was very nice, if a little small and with no view. Pool bar was excellent, giving a great view of Copacabana beach."

"Staff, service, experience is exemplary- Bernardo, Israel, the concierge team, staff by the pool, room service are all dedicated to making the stay exceptional. Moreover, they do it with care, kindness and with subtleness. This is the second Belmond experience and it is highly recommended! "
