This cabin is one of the few properties that is actually located inside Yosemite National Park, with the shortest drive to Yosemite Village. The 7 mile drive from the cabin to Yosemite Village is a breathtaking descent with plenty of iconic photo opportunities.
We’ve been renting our beautiful cabin for 15 years now and have never received a negative review. However, we were previously listed on a private site and have just now made the switch to VRBO, which is why we have no reviews (yet!).
This beautiful, custom-built, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is perfect for your Yosemite basecamp. We can accommodate up to 5 guests with a truly comfy pullout queen sofa couch, in addition to the 2 upstairs bedrooms.
After a day of hiking and exploring the park, return home to your quiet cabin with its well stocked kitchen and outdoor propane grill, for a lovely dinner on the deck while watching the sun set over the sierras. Both the front and back decks have tables and chairs for group outdoor dining. If you want a break from the crowds in the park, the Foresta area where are cabin is located, is the perfect area to explore on foot from your front door.
We’ve put so much love, care, and thoughtfulness into this cabin, all of which will be apparent when you first step foot inside. Our housekeeper lives next door and takes care of it as though it were her own. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Road conditions in the Foresta area; there is a main paved road into the Foresta area. The access roads to the cabins, are hard, dirt/gravel packed roads that are fine during summer/fall dry months, however, they can be more difficult with snow and ice on the ground.
For my winter guests, I want to make sure they understand winter road issues. The Foresta area of the park doesn't often get a great deal of snow, but that said, every winter there will be one, or two, good snow falls that can make access to the cabin difficult. Winter of 2022-23 was an exceptional doozy for snow! The park actually closed due to snow for over two weeks!
The county plows the main paved road into the Foresta area, where these cabins are located, but not the access roads. We have some local plowing and snow blowers to try to clear the approximately 1/4 mile access road to our cabin, but the dirt/gravel road would be too damaged by a plow to clear to dirt level.
The ideal vehicle for a winter visit would have 4-wheel drive with higher clearance.
The park service states that during the months of November - April, all visitors should be carrying snow tire cables and know how to use them. Call NPS road & weather, prior to your departure.
