Came especially for the spa which was excellent, very modern, plenty to do and not too overcrowded. The new part of the hotel was very modern and complimented the older part. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was on a corner in the old part and was bug and comfortable and even has a partial lake view which was lovely. Plenty of choice for breakfast which was in a lovely big bright room. We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting, with nice staff. The only issue we experienced was the limited hours that hotel guests were allowed to use the leisure facilities and the charges to park at the hotel (£12 per car per day), all of which was made clear at the time of booking, but were still a bit disappointing. Overall recommended hotel.

It is in a great area to travel to Windermere, Ambleside or really anywhere else in the Lake District. The only slight let down was the spa; you have to pay extra for spa access even after paying for a treatment. Additionally the details around access times & costs varied depending on which staff you spoke to.
