3/5 - Okay
Check the National Park Service website "before" coming here. The elevator is indefinitely "out of service" so you can't access the cave.

tours were canceled due to elevator issues. unfortunately they couldnt conduct tours without them I guess.
The elevator was out of order so we couldn't explore the cave but did look around a bit and saw the "wind" cave opening.
The cave itself was closed but driving the national park was beautiful!
Don’t go while under construction. The visitor’s center and park drive alone will not be worth it... especially if the fire alarm goes off while there like it did for us.
We did not go because the cave is closed. The elevators need to be repaired or replaced. Parts are not forthcoming for repair, and there is not yet money for replacement. If Wind Cave is your reason for visiting the area, check ahead.
