"The staff are very friendly. The building is old though. Our shower had a window in which the glaze was almost half peeled off, so it was clearly visible from the other side. We had to wait for someone to come and fix it so that we can take a shower in privacy. "

"Comfortable beds, smallish rooms but well designed and had everything we needed. I loved the espresso machine in the community living room and terrace: that space was lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy 2 min walk to subway at Grand Central. Would definitely stay again! "

"The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was close to transportation and many places to eat. The rooms were a bit dated. The air conditioner did not work. The bedding could also use an upgrade. However, despite the issues I would stay at the Fitzpatrick again."

"The staff was perhaps the friendliest staff I have encountered. Julie was a joy at 2:30 in the morning when we finally arrived after a 4 hour delay. The only 3 things - the walls seemed really thin, the house cleaners knocked on our door at 8:30 even though we were checking out at 11:30 (did I mention we had only gotten in at 2:30), and there was no a/c! "

"Good for short stay. Room was extremely small. The bathroom was the size of a closet. When washing our face water would get all over because sink was barely bigger than a dinner plate. Lighting was awful and flickered. Maid left dirty washcloth near bed. "

"We have stayed a few times at this hotel and generally really like it. The main reason is the size of the room and the porch. However, the a/c unit does not go to cold (in March) - the units are apparently "set" to hot so even if you put it on cold hot air still blows, and the room can get really hot. This time, the door to the porch did not close properly so even though we were on the 17th floor, we were still able to hear street noise."

"What a great spot! I stayed here with my two kids (11 and 8) and we walked everywhere from here. The room was perfect for us and beds were comfy. We loved the huge tv in our room. We looooved the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was incredible and set us up for a good day of walking in NYC. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. "
