「The pictures that are used for single rooms at Emerald House don't do them justice. The room I had contained a mini-fridge, kettle, hairdryer, sink and enough encroutements for both cleaning and drinking and a small TV on an extendable arm, allowing for some background noise whilst chilling. Location wise I needed something close to both the city centre and also the university and this met both needs. 「朝食を付けませんでしたが、すぐ近くにスーパー（Sainsbury）があって快適でした。部屋は清潔。窓から見える英国風の中庭が素敵でした。部屋にはドライヤーもありました。」

「シングル滞在。部屋は狭めだけど清潔で必要な物は揃ってます。メインの観光地には徒歩5分でロケーション良し。wi-fi問題無し。シャワーの水圧は悪くないけどお湯の温度がちょっと不安定でした。近くに停まるバスは本数が少ないので駅までの行き帰りが少し不便。朝食が８時半からと遅めですが、頼めば早い時間で対応して貰えます。私は7時にお願いしてとても助かりました。スタッフも総じて親切です。」

「There is no staff. I am from Japan. I did not take the phone number. But my daughter had the phone number so we could check-in. If you came here without the phone I would not recommend it. Also, I would recommend this hotel. It is quite far from the city if you would like to see Central.」

「清潔でシャワーの水圧、水温も問題ありませんでした。共用のキッチンも清潔に保たれており、必要な設備・器具・食器類も揃っています。 2歳の子どもを連れての滞在だったのですが、観光の途中で休憩に戻ることも出来る好立地です。管理されている男性の方が子どもにも優しく接して下さり、ヨークでの滞在が良い思い出となりました。」

「The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!」

「オーナーご夫妻がとてもフレンドリーで、タオル交換が毎日あったのが良かった。ただ私の泊まった部屋は個別シャワートイレ付なのだが、部屋の外にあり不便だった。（他の部屋は各部屋の中にあるようだった）」

「Great location, right in the City Centre. A small but very different room giving the feeling you have travelled back in time, but with a little modern comforts. Heating and fridge!! Expensive, but then so is all accommodation in York. Quirky, bit pleased we have ticked this one off our list of places to stay. Probably not suited to an extended stay, one or two nights only. But an experience. 👍」

「The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all. Coat hooks being on the same wall as the plugs/shelf etc meant coats hanging over the kettle , but the pod itself was lovely and clean, amazingly comfortable bed. The toilets and shower blocks were very well kept and clean. Perfect...
