"Lovely old building with pleasant grounds but the unit lacked a great deal. Firstly, no air conditioning on a 34 degree day is a huge problem for anyone. We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. "We rented the chateau to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with children and grandchildren (13 of us). Everyone was delighted with the beautiful and spacious home, the property and the location. We were able to travel to many wonderful places nearby and a little bit further out in France. "The property is down a lane in a very rural location about 2Kms outside Rance and it is about as tranquil and relaxing as you could imagine with just the distant baa ing of the sheep for company. The bedrooms and bathroom and toilet are downstairs with the living accommodation and patio upstairs which works very well. We absolutely loved it and were blessed with fine weather. To note the downstairs toilet is very compact."

"We have just spent a lovely two weeks here, the Gite was just what we were looking for and the weather was fine also. The owners were extremely welcoming and so kind, you couldn’t wish for more. "I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Rooms were very clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was located within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, and shopping. The only downside was the construction that was happening in the area which closed the streets and made it confusing to get to the property. Also the fact there was no on site parking. However, the parking garage was only a few minute walk. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Lovely warm room on a cold night. Restaurant was excellent. Decent breakfast. Comfortable bed and decent shower. Characterful ambiance. One way road system to get to the hotel was a bit of a nightmare as google maps showed the one way direction incorrectly. "

Convenient location for our needs!

"This location was very easy check in. We had a car rental and they have secure parking in the back for a small fee which worked for our stay. The room was clean and spacious which was a nice change since most rooms are small here in Europe. We did not use the breakfast option since we felt it was a bit pricey but opted to go to the market to buy some items. They had a small refrigerator and coffee pot with cream & sugar was nice. Overall our stay was great and may return again if in the area. "
