Very nice hiking areas. Recommend the East side for most of the wildlife viewing.
You'll enjoy Glacier National MUCH more and I wouldn't recommend wasting the time to drive to Waterton unless you like shops and little eateries. The more time at Glacier National...the better.
There is very limited parking in the park. Be prepared to use the shuttles if you want to get out of your car and do some hiking.
Doesn't compare to Glacier Nat Park.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Bird Woman Falls during your travels in West Glacier. Wander the parks or discover the area's glaciers.
You can take time to visit Granite Park Trail during your travels to Polebridge. Stroll along the lakeside or discover the area's glaciers.

You can learn about the history of Polebridge with a visit to Ptarmigan Tunnel. While you're in the area, wander around the natural setting.
