"My wife and our dogs stayed at the Chestnut House for 3 nights and we loved every minute of it. The owners did a phenomenal job making the house comfortable and cozy. The house is pristine, clean and beautifully decorated. It is a gorgeous piece of property with several outside areas to sit and relax. "This place was clean, confortable and perfect for our group, and the owners were incredibly helpful and kind to us - they were even better than the place. Two very minor downsides - it's a bit of a drive into Lexington (about 6 miles, and a slow drive on country roads) where our activities were, and the high windows let in light earlier in the morning than we wanted to wake. But those were minor to us. We'd stay here again, without question."

"Cozy cottage and property is very private. House was very clean and the host included so many extras like soap, shampoo, toilet paper and towels. Kitchen was well stocked, a fully equipped coffee bar and they even included a s’mores basket. I especially loved the swings by the stream. The host was quick to response to messages. Hope to stay here again in the fall."

"The house is adorable. Every little comfort has been thought about and provided. From the couch to the bedding, it felt like a home. The outside is fabulous. Woods and a great firepit made the nights fun and full of laughter. We spent the days hiking the AT or enjoying a good book, that we found from the ample selection, on the shelves inside. There are no complaints, just thanks for such a wonderful stay."

"This was a beautiful and quiet setting perfectly located for our interests which were hiking the Appalachian Trail, exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoying a day trip to Thomas Jefferson’s home at Monticello.
