If you want to truly relax, this beautiful 1930s family friendly home is just the place to do it!

This home caters for larger families/groups, while also catering for smaller groups/couples.

The space
It has 2 main rooms with comfy king size beds and a third bedroom/sunroom with a pull-out sofa bed. The lounge room also has a pull-out sofa bed. The sunroom doubles as an evening viewing platform to view the stunning river sunsets.

River Rest has a bathroom with a bath and step-in shower, it also has a separate shower and toilet in the laundry to cater for the larger groups.

This home has a large fully enclosed yard with lockable gates and a drive through gated driveway to secure children, your boat and/or your caravan, while allowing you the convenience of easy access.

The house is centrally located to the main street with shops, hotels and cafes only a short stroll down the road, while also being within a 5 minute walk to the Mighty Murray River.

Great Place

We had a wonderful week in River Rest, the place has a lot of character and had everything we needed.The location was great, we could walk to the shops easily and also to the river for nice walks.The dog loved the garden.We would definitely look to go back when we visit the area again.

Enjoyed our stay at River Rest

Lovely cottage in the town very easy to walk to the shop, bakery and hotel. Rachel was very nice to deal with and came up with a few suggestions of restaurants etc for us to try. Cottage very clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Loved sitting outside on the patio enjoying the sunshine and a glass of wine. Would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful house

Lovely house which was very well equipped with everything we needed. Enclosed back garden was a huge plus meaning safe space for both children and dog. Loved the big comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely house

Relaxing at River Rest

We enjoyed a really special weekend in Waikerie to connect with our extended family. River Rest was perfectly positioned to access all the locations where we wanted to gather, visit & enjoy. The home was comfortable, well appointed with all the essentials we needed. Beautifully restored & decorated. Plenty of room for 5 adults, great yard & outdoor eating/entertainment area. River Rest was well enjoyed all weekend, we loved it!

Excellent home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay for three nights. The house was very well thought out and had all the amenities one could need. Rachel and Sam were great hosts. The house was homely, large and very clean. The games were well appreciated. Also lots of blinds which was cooling. Backyard very secure and large. Overall, we would definitely recommend if you have a trip planned to Waikerie.

👍 River Rest

Good location, comfortable, light filled older house on large well fenced block (very secure for dogs and kids). Furniture is mostly modern with a few nice vintage pieces. Nice linen and towels. Thoughtful extras for children (games, toys). Highly recommend a visit to Waikerie Bakery and the very dog friendly balcony and dining area at the pub.

Clean open and spacious.

We really enjoyed our stay here and the host was very helpful and thoughtful. Arrived late with lights left on and Air con and Fans running which was appreciated. Its a great place if you have a boat as straight drive thru property so no reversing needed. Everything was clean and fresh. Will be back. Thanks 😊
