"A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property in a quiet hilltop village with stunning views all round. We enjoyed the pool, especially the kids. It was a difficult to find the property on arrival despite the instructions provided, these could have more detailed and an accompanying map would have been helpful.We ended up parking our car in the village for the week as the narrow and steep road up to the property was challenging."

"High in the hills and cooler as a result thankfully as we came from Rome where it was 38 degrees. Pool lovely. Setting beautiful. Car vital. Hosts delightful. We’d come back we loved it so much. Food at restaurant around corner is really good value and excellent. We took train to Lucca for the day once which made a nice day out."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Collemandina. The property was in excellent condition and Leonardo was very helpful with the check in process and also when we didn't have any hot water. The location is very picturesque and quiet. The only downside is that it is a little isolated. There is a restaurant near the property but it is probably a 20 minute walk up steep roads. We were very reliant on using the car to get everywhere when ideally there would be some amenities a little bit closer."

We booked the "Cook at home" experience and I have to say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. "This is an excellent holiday property. You climb up to it via hairpin bends so take your time and just let the locals pass you in thier Fiat Pandas. The house is a few hunded metres out of village and such a tranquil spot. I almost dont want to give a god review to stop this place becoming to booked up for my next visit but that would be selfish. "The villa was located in a very peaceful location we stayed as a family group of 8 and overall had a great stay although there were positives and negatives. Positives Lovely pool, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and outdoor terrace. Negatives Not much in the local area without a long drive, not enough sun beds. "Beautiful location, lovely pool and somewhere for my 91 year old mum to sit in the shade and watch her three great grand daughters in the pool. House very well equipped. "A small town dated accommodation throughout this experience. The newest part is the gym where there are only 5 pieces of equipment with one broken during our 10-day stay. We do like old school hotels when traveling in Europe. However at Notarie, it simply needs a facelift with current style of mamagement. WiFi needs to up the game. "We enjoyed a pleasant one night stay here. The apartment was spacious for my family of 5. It also had a modern kitchen which enable us to make dinner and breakfast. We did encounter a problem with our bedroom door not opening. We called our host and he came to the apartment at a late hour to help us get the door open. We were very happy with the location as there were many nearby restaurants and a Lidl which we were able to walk to. "
