Dining options were limited but Mahi Mahi did have a large selection of good food. Room was very nice except the bed was so soft my back now hurts. Great views and amenities.

This hotel is beautiful! The pool the beach front all beautiful it’s well kept clean and staff is friendly only thing I recommend is definitely rent a car it’s a 40-50 min drive to San Juan or if you want other food options you will need a car the restaurant on the property is very good the food and drinks are also reasonable will definitely stay here again

It’s well maintained and well stocked vacation condominium style hotel. They have a great pool and gorgeous private beach but it has only one restaurant which only serves mediocre fried foods and cocktails.

Hotel is very clean. Grounds are beautiful but, the front desk staff Nancy, Mirjam and Janarys were so accommodating and went above and beyond. I couldn’t thank them enough. They made my stay very memorable. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

My wife and I had a great visit. We’d highly recommend. Overall the staff was very helpful, spoke perfect English. Grounds clean though not quite immaculate. Family friendly unless you’re uptight about skimpy bikinis or a faint whiff of weed after dark. The beach is gorgeous beyond words. Frolic in the crashing waves on rough days or walk to east end of the area, which is protected and quite calm. Decent scenic snorkeling there. Loungers and palm tree shade are readily available. I understand all beaches in Puerto Rico are public so you, or anyone, can walk a bit up and down the beach. All the rooms have a little balcony facing the ocean. Ours was on the first floor so it opened right out onto the pool/activity area/restaurant/beach/ocean. Close access to a free washer/dryer combo machine shared with the neighboring room. Kitchen has coffee, sink, microwave, and a mini fridge with a freezer big enough for a quart of helado. In-room safe. The restaurant beachside was good and not outrageously expensive. They run on island time (yay!) and the food arrives hot. A cadre of extremely well-behaved dogs there provides a little color. Extensive menu. Guitar player Friday night was nice. Neighboring area has good restaurants. Local joints west and familiar chains east. Keep in mind that because you’re west of San Juan, you’ll have to fight terrible traffic if you’re heading to the city itself, el Yunque, Fajardo, etc. at the wrong time of day.

I was suppose to stay for 3 nights and I extended my stay for 2 more nights. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are beautiful. The front desk staff Mirjam, Nancy, Jonarys and Abdiel were exceptional and made my stay very pleasant. What a professional team. I also want to give a shout Roberto Adorno. If I had one complaint it would be there is just one restaurant. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

Decided to stay here because the high reviews but was very disappointed with my stay. Room itself was very nice and picture perfect. However you get room cleaning every other day and flood cleaning is not apart of the service. The 5 days I stayed not once did room service sweep or clean the floors. I called about this after the first incident and was told the there had to be nothing on the floor so we picked up items from the floor and again no one cleaned the floors which was frustrating and annoying. The food was also terrible. The staff cannot cook

I honestly rarely take the time to leave reviews - but I know how much other’s reviews help me when making a choice on vacation plans! Hacienda Del Mar was one of the best resorts/vacations we have been to. My husband and I took a trip just the two of us. This place has gorgeous grounds with hundreds of palm trees and lush tropical foliage along the private beach - you feel like you’re on a private island! The pool area is huge, it’s clean and super well kept, two HOT tubs which we loved! There are lot of fun amenities like ping pong, pickleball, basketball, tennis, and the fitness center is perfect with just enough equipment for vacation workouts - all with views of the ocean! And we found beautiful hiking/biking trails close by. The one restaurant on property is actually really good. There are a lot of options to choose from and honestly I enjoyed everything we had there! Not over priced either. Though we did get groceries and had breakfast everyday on our balcony. We had a studio with a tiny kitchenette and small fridge but it had a coffee maker, toaster, and dining wear so it was good enough for the two of us. We’ll be back again soon with our kids and will get the one bedroom suite. Dorado is our new favorite part of PR! We loved the convenience of all the shopping and lots of other restaurants to choose from! We LOVED Pirilo Pizza Rustica (amazing pizza!) and Vagón Taco Truck is incredible. Definitely rent a car. Amazing staff as well. We’ll be back soon!

I recently stayed here with my two teens over spring break . I spent limited time researching this place because I was under a time crunch . The trip was great and the resort was amazing . A few things to know if you are planning on taking a trip here . The location is remote . I mean there is nothing close enough to walk to . They also do not provide airport transportation. The airport is around 45 minutes away . 45 hard minutes if you have never driven in PR. PR rush hour makes Chicago traffic seem like a ride in the country . With that said . We ended up renting a car . Which was reasonable . Pharmacies , Walmart , gas stations are all within a 15 minute drive . So with that said . If you are looking for a well run, clean , well staffed , roomy resort with a private coastal beach that is something out of a tourist magazine . Come here ! They have a restaurant bar right off the beach . By the pool that is open 7 am - 11 p. Extensive menu and anything you would need from breakfast to coffee to cold beer and drinks . We took a couple day trips to popular PR attractions and honestly I would not do that again . Traffic is really horrendous. I’d come here a again no doubt about it . But I’d UBER from airport next time . Uber is reasonablr and plentiful . One last comment . The bar/restaurant is not affiliated with resort . Not a big deal . But you cannot charge to your room . They take Apple Pay but if you want to open a tab and bounce around you have to leave a CC

We enjoyed our stay without a doubt! So convenient, pool is amazing and the beach is steps away. It was so peaceful and quiet but above all safe. I want to acknowledge Miss Dayness, she was so helpful and was able to get a taxi for within seconds and we were able to make our reservation on time as Uber was delayed.
