"We stayed two nights but found that there were a lot of tour groups/ busses there so it got a little crowded on the 3rd floor onsen floor and elevators took some time. Older facility but staff are great and attentive. Parking next door is very convenient as well"

"-1 star for the room because ours was right in front of the signboard which was super bright. Had to request for extra pillow to cover face since there's no curtains or blinds to cover the shine. "

"We had an amazing stay at Hana Beppu, the food and onsen was wonderful! My only critique would be the washroom didn't come with a toilet brush to clean it so have to use hand. Perhaps all rooms should come with one. But overall we had a pleasant time here! "

"Nice hotel and staff hospitality was great. Our 2 days stay include dinning and was given difference menu for the half-board. Hotel include onsen for public. If you need private room, you need to book a higher end room. Only setback is the train station is about 15min walk away. Not great if you have too many luggage to carry. "

"What a relaxing stay! If you have a big tattoo that can’t be covered up, you cannot use the guest onsen. You can reserve a private onsen instead — request it when you check in. The yukata were comfortable and you can select the appropriate size for you. They also had face wash and face lotion in the room which was a nice surprise. The traditional breakfast and dinner were great: healthy and delicious. I wish we had stayed longer! "

"Great weekend get away to Beppu with accommodations about a five minute walk from the train station. Breakfast offered dishes and products from the regional area with titles in English as well as other languages. Many other services were available such as spa, massages and public baths. Hotel was within walking distance to two malls, one that offered foot baths. So much to do with so little time. "

One of the best glamping sites I’ve ever been

"We stumbled upon this campsite by chance. Without any particular expectations, this experience turned out to be the most memorable part of our entire trip. The place is incredibly beautiful, and if you're looking for a unique experience during your travels, this is definitely the perfect spot for you. Surrounded by stunning nature, this location allows you to slow down and take a proper rest. The staff here are extremely friendly, providing detailed explanations to help you understand the facilities and activities available at the campsite. What makes this place special is the variety of activities they offer, which change every week. We were lucky enough to experience the sauna. The sauna building is uniquely designed and adorable, with beautiful interiors and a lovely woody aroma. The experience left us feeling healthier and filled with endorphins. I recommend checking their website before your trip to see what free activities are available on the day of your stay. Even if the sauna is a paid experience, it’s absolutely worth it. The dinner here was also exceptionally delicious, featuring fresh local ingredients, offering a dining experience different from eating at restaurants elsewhere. I highly recommend it. If you want to connect with nature but don’t want to go through the hassle of traditional camping and bringing lots of equipment, this type of glamping is perfect. This is an absolute hidden gem!"
