"The hotel was a joy to stay at. The staff are fabulous and Nicole at breakfast was so lovely. The food was really good and would recommend the Argento rose as a perfect end to the day. The bar staff would look after an open bottle for us in the fridge. The rooms were so comfortable and the bathroom was perfect and clean. I am definitely coming back on my next visit to Dartmoor. Thank you to all the staff for creating a welcoming hotel."

"This is a lovely hotel with separate rooms from the pub. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent as was the service. Yealmpton is conveniently located on the A379 although with my room being on the ground floor I had to keep the curtain closed and it was a little noisy at commuter time. The room however was large and very comfortable with access to outside patio spce"

"Pity about no parking as the long stay cost of parking overnight was £10 and you had to pay again at 9 am."

"Fantastic place, staff very friendly, everything spotless and decorated to an excellent standard. Good selection well kept ale and wine, food was outstanding. Set in a quiet peaceful village with virtually no traffic, can’t recommend enough!"

"Stayed as working in Cornwall just over boarder nice room ,comfortable,had it’s own entrance behind pub with key box (great idea) Pub was very friendly,food great, very good quality and choice Had an early start so they made me up a breakfast basket to take away all included Would recommend It’s certainly off the beaten track!!! Interesting drive to the pub from Gunnislake "

"Karen in reception greeted us when we arrived, very freindly, helpful, informative and showed us to our room. She also booked a taxi for us for the evening out. The room was lovely, clean tidy and beautiful view. We had breafast in the morning, lots of choice. We would love to return to this hotel in the future. Sue and Andrew "

"Good position in Dartmouth. Very helpful lady from Falmouth on the Bar but not enough staff at breakfast. May be noisy in the summer but very convenient for town, restaurants and shops. Good to see they have Jazz entertainment on occasions."
