They made it feel like our home. The hotel is within easy walking distance to anything you can dream of; eating, music, sight seeing, shopping, they have it all."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Athens version. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and if they weren't available there was a phone number that we could text at all times. Housekeeping left the room in wonderful condition every single day, there was a nice climate unit in our apartment which adapted really well. "Firstly the staff member on check-in was so friendly and helpful, what a nice welcome at 10pm! Our room was clean, had a nice bathroom, tea/coffee, mini bar and a balcony. Breakfast was nice, with all you needed, eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, cereals, toast, pastries, nice coffee and amazing Greek yoghurt. All the staff were very friendly and made for a wonderful stay. "Wonderful, clean and newly refurbished hotel. Lovely and helpful staff. Great location right on the edge of the tourist area with lots of restaurant options and 2 mins’ walk to the metro. Highly recommended! Only small negative is that the breakfast is at the restaurant next door and is the same every day with only the option of eggs or pancakes, but for a stay of a few days it’s not a huge problem and the restaurant staff are lovely. "

"Spend 5 nights together with my partner over New Years at Altar Suites. We had the room with Acropolis view. The room was spacious, modern and clean. And the best part was of course the balcony with the lovely view. Location was perfect with walking distance to all main attractions. The staff was very sweet and helpful through our stay, and if we go back to Athens we would not hesitate to come back to Altar Suites. "

"The suite I was in looked exactly the same as the photos - very clean, comfortable and spacious with good air conditioning. No conditioner which can be bought easily in the famous flea market. The unit is located in a quiet neighborhood (although it could be quite noisy from cars at night). The kitchen has only a microwave, fridge, kettle, and coffee makers, but no stove. "The room wasn’t what I expected. The trim was falling from the ceiling, bathroom faucet was loose and leaking, the main front door of the property door latch was broken so could easily be busted open. I read previous reviews prior to booking and they were all great. I ended up booking a separate hotel after the first night. I don’t typically leave reviews but I hope a future travelers experience is better than mine."

As for the apartment…I could not fathom leaving only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. No towels or paper towels for the kitchen, no extra set of sheets (but an extra pillow)? The description on hotels.com said there’s was toiletries. Well there wasn’t. Just a random body wash. There was no hand soap or shampoo or conditioner. Had to wash my hands with body...

"I stayed at this property for 13 days. The neighborhood is safe during the day to walk, but at night is unsafe. Best to use taxi’s for getting to tourist spots in Athens. The facility, staff, food, and rooms were spectacular. I really enjoyed my vacation here. The staff at this hotel are the kindest and most service oriented professionals that I have ever experienced. If you are looking for an authentic experience of daily Athenian life this hotel is for you. If you are looking for a manicured resort experience this may not be a good option for you. But for seasoned travelers this is a wonderful place to hang your hat and rest after exploring the sites of Athens."

Weekend away

"Lovely hotel in the middle of town. Not the biggest room but had everything you would need including big fluffy towels, no rags to get dry with here. Breakfast was good value if not that exciting but compares well with the local cafes. Great rooftop bar open till midnight, perfect way to finish the night off. All the staff were really nice and very helpful with recommendations and tickets for things. I'll be back."
