"Spacious bedroom, and en suite washroom a big plus. We were given a room on ground floor, which had convenient access to all parts of hotel. Simple breakfast but adequate. Though it would have been good to vary the menu (we had basically same food on both mornings we were there). Limited free WIFI was frustrating (only 30 mins a day). But common bath facilities in urgent need of maintenance. Most shower heads in common bath area were not working. Mixing of hot & cold water also problematic....

"The whole hotel is very dated. It seems like all they did was to renovate the lobby, so it looks new modern shiny, whereas the rooms are left in the 80s/90s era. We had one of the big rooms, with tatami and also a supposed double bed. The bed was not comfortable at all, and way too small for 2 persons. We ended up sleeping on the futons in the tatami section of the room on the second night. Staff wasn't rude, but not friendly like we will expect of the typical Japanese hospitality. The onsen is...

"Surpirse tourist tax on arrival. They assumed because we were of western orgin that we would only want breads for breakfast. They offered thr rest of their guests a Japanese breakfast (which we would have loved). The website didnt state they had cats. I am very allergic so it made for an uncomfortable stay. "

"The property is in a nice location overlooking the lake. The hotel is a bit old but spacious. Dinner buffet was good with a lot of variety."
