Beautiful place and location
Absolutely stunning views! The small soaps, makeup removers, coffee, coffee filters, and other little details were very nice touches. Loved the photos in the stairwell of the construction process. The home was very clean at check-in. The kitchen was well stocked with the exception of regular water glasses. The toilet situation upstairs is odd - hall bath is connected to primary bath via the frosted glass shower. Makes both toilets inaccessible if someone is showering. There are thermostats all over the house, but it was difficult to control the temperature. No matter what you set them to, it would randomly change. It was 79 degrees in the primary bedroom one night, even though we set the thermostat to 62. Also, the listing said that there was an oxygen machine, but we never found it. There was a grill that we found the last day tucked under the side of the house. The host was responsive when we asked questions, and we didn't need those things or we would have just asked. I felt that there could have been a little book with notes about the house when we checked in to give a little more information. Overall, we loved our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat.

We loved the home. There were a couple of issues with water not available. However, the property manager was very helpful and they made it right with us by a refund for a portion of our stay. I plan on staying here again and I am certain those issues will be resolved.

Beautiful location
The house is even better than the pictures. We have driven by many times and we’re excited to stay. It was clean and very comfortable. Two parents + 3 adult/teen children stayed comfortably. Only complaint was wifi did not work. Mobile reception is good up there so not a big problem. Also, it would be great if they added an outdoor patio and a hot tub would be amazing. The location is so pretty but not for the nervous driver. In the winter it would be a short walk to lift 4. In the summer it is a nice walk to Bavarian, Williams lake trailhead and a little longer but very doable walk to the base area.

Incredible! Did Not Want to Leave
We LOVED this place. I have stayed in many rentals before and this was the most modern, most unique and cleanest by far. It actually looks as nice as the photos. The kitchen is lovely and brand new, the main bed is INCREDIBLE and rare to find a rental with such high quality linens, mattress and pillows. Not to mention the view from the bedroom window! From the dining room, we loved waving at the cars driving up to the trailhead / ski lift — everyone waved back because the architecture of the house is impossible to ignore. We walked to the Wheeler Peak trailhead for our hike in under 5 minutes. The only improvement recommendations would be to add a stereo system, hot tub and patio area. We wanted to be outside more to enjoy the stream and woods surrounding the property! We want to come back to Taos just to stay here again!

Beep…Beep…Beep
Let me start with saying this a very clean and wonderful residence. We did experience the beeping mentioned for the thermostat of the sunroom. It was 80 degrees at the time of our arrival. We opened the sliding glass doors and windows as instructed to cool the room. The room slowly cooled and the beeping persisted. The thermostat is locked, so trying to turn it off was not an option. We patiently waited as the temperature slowly lowered, but the beeping continued through the night. We assumed the temperature must be required to go below 70 to shut the alarm off. We went to bed early, since the alarm is in the living room. The management company was very responsive the next morning in turning it off( they did not have a key to the thermostat but pulled the locked cover off the wall). I would stay here again, but if beeping continues for more than a hour contact management immediately. Don’t let it damper your stay, like it did ours.

We had a great stay at this unique property. It was a quick trip down from Colorado for a big storm, and we absolutely loved being on the mountain, with all the natural light. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer, or bring our partners (my son and I came down for a "guys' trip."

SPECTACULAR VIEWS
The view from the Master Bedroom is incredible. In fact, it's one of the best we've experienced anywhere. The property is great for a couple or a couple with kids but not very suitable for 2 adult couples due to the 3 twin beds in the second bedroom.

Great stay right on the mountain in Taos
Our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay! We were fortunate to find the house still available for the long weekend after we had to change travel plans to ski in Taos vs. Whistler. Everything about the house was top notch, from the cleanliness, quality of appliances & beds and location. The walk do lift #4 was certainly doable, but given the sub-zero mornings during our stay, we opted for the easy 2 min drive up to the parking lot of lift #4 by the Bavarian. The only negative of the experience was the Bavarian not being open for inside seating due to COVID protocols. We did get to enjoy a beer and warm pretzel outside as a consolation! Check-in and communication with the property management company was a breeze and we would definitely stay again on a trip to Taos.

Winter wonderland
This is an amazing home. I loved waking up to a beautiful Mountain View and snow covered trees. We stayed here over New Years with my husband and two girls. The drive down to Taos ski village is quick and easy. They kept the road plowed even with all the snow we got and also plowed the driveway of the house. The girls loved playing in the snow right outside the home as well. Sitting in the “sunroom” surrounded by snow covered trees was for sure my favorite part of the house. The oxygen machine also came in handy as my older daughter and I both experienced some altitude sickness. Absolutely loved our stay at this magical house!

Fantastic getaway!
What a special and unique VRBO vacation! This home was clean and ready for our arrival. Communication with the owners was seamless. The area of Taos and Taos Ski Valley is stunningly beautiful. We were there in mid-October, which is off-season for activities, other than hiking, but that was just fine for us. We traveled to Sante Fe one afternoon and stopped at the Rio Grande Bridge and saw the Earthships houses 1 mile past the bridge. The fall leaves are bright yellow on the Aspens and we had the pleasure of experiencing a nice, sunny day and then waking up to several inches of snow the next! You definitely want to have a car with 4-wheel drive when there is any chance of snow to get up the mountain to the rental. We plan to be back in a few years and would highly recommend this unique rental. *My next home will have radiant heating… that is a wonderful aspect! Kudos with the design and elements of the house!

This house is so unique! The minimalist design is so bright and refreshing. The views are amazing! We loved the sun-room. We had fun waving at cars stopping to take photos while we were eating. Even with the cars going by, the house is very quiet. The beds were comfortable. The curtains, especially in the downstairs bedroom made it plenty dark to sleep past sunrise. The kitchen was well stocked and nice to cook meals in. The nearby hike to Williams Lake was worth the 1500 ft elevation gain. The oxygen machine came it handy on our early days acclimating to the elevation. It was helpful to know the signs of altitude sickness. We hope to return and would recommend this house to anyone visiting Taos Ski Valley.

First time staying here. It was very clean. Very beautiful and artistic. The property is gorgeous and very quiet. Slept with window open and listened to the running stream and wind blowing in the pines. The owner was very responsive with a few questions we had. When you sit in the enclosed glass area, be ready for lots of people stopping to stare at the house and take photos. We will be staying again in the future.

Awesome house, great location
We found this unique property to be even better than the photos and listing. Incredible views, and a short walk to The Bavarian and some of the most popular trailheads in the Ski Valley. A few potentially helpful notes: 1) The kitchen is very well stocked in terms of cooking utensils and appliances. We would have taken on more ambitious meals if we had known so much was available. 2) A 4x4 vehicle is required to reach this part of Taos Ski Valley year-round. There are plenty of locals in sedans on the hill in the summer, but we were glad to have a jeep with the steep grade and slick road. It would be impossible in winter. 3) The property was managed by a third-party service for our stay, called Turnkey. We prefer to work through individuals on VRBO and were surprised by this additional layer of paperwork and communication, so just a heads up.

Modern Treat in the Mountains
This home affords a unique perspective in mountain living - it's a treat! It feels rather like a tree house. Comfortable, cozy, different and architecturally interesting. We had a nice stay. Did some hiking along the Williams Trail and worked a puzzle. With proximity to the ski resort and to a few restaurants that were open so early in the season, we enjoyed our stay.
