"Unique hotel for a different experience. Love that it’s at least on a high level for a nice view of Shinjuku when looking through their big wide windows. Lots of artsy books to browse slowly while chilling & eating at the rest area. The cabin rooms are ok. Had to be extra careful not to make any knocks & bumps in there to avoid disturbing the others haha. I got a cabin which I need to climb up to. The handrail is kinda clunky with an exposed screw at the top. The ladder to climb up could be...

Wild Cherry Blossom Hostel Tokyo Koganei

1.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (246)
"Stayed in a female only cabin. Everything was very clean in the rooms and the shared toilets. The instructions on classifying the rubbish is very clear and can definitely be understood by tourists who don’t read Japanese. The staff can speak in both Japanese and English. They were very helpful and friendly. They offered to help me check out before I even asked for it. The surrounding area is a residential area so it’s very quiet and safe. I walked to the hostel from the station a few times...

"Clean and convenient. Family of 5 stayed in the family room. Room was spacious enough, Beds and pillows were a bit hard, but that’s Japan. Free breakfast was a big positive, although basic still great. Close walk to station, restaurants and convenience stores. Only negative was we were on the 5th floor of the annex building that does not have a lift. Would recommend. "

"I loved A16. It is an ideal spot to start a trip to Tokyo. It was very easy to get to, coming from Narita Airport and there are LOTS of good, cheap dining options within a very short walk. While not necessarily the closest place to tourist spots, it is very close to Asakusa-bashi train station, making it very easy to get around Tokyo. The surrounding area is foot traffic friendly and there's plenty to see, (the entire suburb is sprinkled with bead/ jewellery making supply shops which was a...

Ace Inn Shinjuku - Hostel

2.0 star property
5.6 out of 10, (15)
"Literally avoid this hotel at all costs. There was literal blood in the showers, most of the guests were American and of course, they're very loud obnoxious and selfish. In the capsule room they were walkinf with shoes on, speakinf loudly at 7am and so on. I feel bad for the manager working because she did her best but what can you do with selfish tourists?"

"This was a fantastic hotel. Reception staff was very helpful and the room was extremely nice. We ended up having a kitchenette and washing machine in the room which were huge bonuses.
