"We had a great experience at New Hotel Wakasa and the staff were super helpful. We arrived to Nara early and the hotel was able to hold our luggage for us. During checkout, they were also able to hold our luggage for us (before 3pm) so we could spend one last afternoon in Nara luggage free before leaving the city. "Some things may be a little outdated in the Nara Visitor Center & Inn but it is the best bang for your buck in town & the staff was outstanding - so friendly & helpful! I’m so glad we decided to spend a couple of days in Nara instead of just doing it as the day trip that it is so often marketed as. Nara is it’s own destination & my favorite part of my whole whirlwind journey through Japan."

"This place was very cool. Every floor has a different theme/color scheme and the rooms were big and bright. Most places I've stayed in Japan so far have been pretty mundane, but this place definitely works hard to be different and nice. Glad they had a few laundry machines as well. I'd stay again anytime"
