"Wishing I booked here longer…. Chala Number 6 was perfect in every way. Nice coffee houses nearby, temples, shopping. The aspect which I enjoyed most was the beautiful grounds the hotel sits on. Pristine sanctuary with living plants and lush greenery that is very well maintained by staff. Rooms are very nice too and match the aesthetic. Don’t hesitate to book here. "

"Very modern design, staff were so friendly! Located on the Sunday Night Walking Street. Pretty pool. No elevator. There was a weird, camouflaged step in our room that we kept almost injuring ourselves on. The room itself was very cute with a great balcony view of pool."

"What an amazing place. First the location is great as it is right in the heart of the old city, near the night bazaar and many restaurants. The actual property itself is absolutely beautiful with well kept interiors and lawns, including private books and crannies. The breakfast was great with a lot of selections. The pool is great, especially if you have kids as it has a water slide and whole kids play area in the pool. Basically the place is definitely top tier. The only negative I would have to say is that it is a bit pricey compared to most hotels in Chiang Mai, and also that it's size can make it feel less personal and inviting than other hotels. that being said, one event sealed the deal for us and made a one night stay turn to 4. I lost my camera at an event off-site from, but booked through the hotel. I called them to ask if there was anything they could do (assuming I my camera was a loss). Patt from the hotel staff (who has been incredibly helpful throughout our visit) said she would call the golf course where I lost my camera. less than 40 minutes later she informed me that not only had they found my camera, but the course was going to drop it off at the hotel for me! I had my camera back the next day. I cannot begin to express how amazing the level of support made us feel, and how thankful and impressed I am with the staff at both the Shangri-La and the Gasson Panorama Golf Club. I will be singing their praises for years to come "

"We loved the ambience and decoration. It made us feel emerged in the city culture/style. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very nice and friendly. It’s centrally located so you can walk to many restaurants, tours, attractions, etc. We loved our stay here."

"Great location! We were able to walk everywhere. Our kids liked having McDonald’s nearby while we enjoyed trying different places. Side note, coffee shop at the corner has amazing iced lattes! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were backpacking and used their laundry service which returned on time and clean. We checked out at noon, but flight was at 5 and kids were a little overheated so the lobby was perfect to relax and play cards. Overall great stay and I would recommend for families."
