Compact with everything we needed (but no shampoo or shower gel). Only a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal which is a big plus (no parking worries). Our only negative was the loud noise of the fridge compressor overnight.

This is Michigan’s first state park and it is a gem. There are many walkable trails through beautiful wooded areas and to and about various historic and archaeological/geological sites . In addition, an 8+ mile walk or bike ride around the perimeter of the island is a delightful way to enjoy the park.
