Anniversary Weekend
My wife and I love the Sugarcreek area, and chose The Lodge to spend a long Anniversary weekend. Such a great choice. The hosts Doug and Jen were the best. The Lodge was so peaceful and quiet. Loved the wood burning fireplace on cold late fall nights. If you love nature, a quiet and peaceful location, great Amish food and a fun shopping experience, this place is for you.

Quiet and peaceful. We spent time sitting on the front porch enjoying nature and in front of the fireplace reading. Great cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of the business of everyday life.

BIG, BEAUTIFUL, MODERN LOG CABIN NESTLED IN 4-SIDES OF BEAUTIFUL FOREST
Cabin was immaculate, modern, large, eclectic furniture (leather sofas to antique accent pieces), wonderfully stocked (quality & fully modern kitchen, wine fridge, smart flat screen, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, great mattresses, 2 full baths, outdoor porches and seating and expansive lot. Host stocked cabin with “Welcome” necessities (fruit, milk, eggs, muffins, butter, cereal, snacks, etc.) which was just lovely.

Cabin on a hill
This is a great place to stay. My wife and I came here for our 38th anniversary and couldn't be more pleased. We love nature and there were deer, squirrels, birds of all kinds and a group of turkeys right in the yard. Would definitely stay here again.

Annual shopping trip
The pictures on the site are just a teaser. When we got there, it was amazing. The views from the front porch were so calming. The inside was just as amazing. The only problem was we had to leave. Will definitely stay here again and for a few more days. Thank you Doug and Jenn.

Great secluded spot
Lovely rural area surrounded by mother nature. Plenty of games and hiking to keep busy. Hosts had scones, eggs, juice and milk for cereals already there, in addition to some snacks. The cabin was great, a bit warm upstairs for sleeping when it was over 90, but I just slept on the ample couch with no issues. If we head back that way we will definitely be back.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved it! This property is beautiful!! We were able to enjoy everything this property had to offer. We hiked, we fished at the beautiful lake, enjoyed the front porch and the wonderful view, we even had pork chops and steaks over the fire pit. It was so peaceful. Jenn and Doug were absolutely great! The fresh milk, orange juice, eggs, muffins and fruit were wonderful and so thoughtful. We will definitely be back! ☺️

This is our second stay at the cabin. It's such a nice refreshing location and the view is perfection. The price is so reasonable for the location (which is so appreciated) and the hosts were so accommodating. We plan on coming back in the fall and making it a biannual visit. Thank you so much!

Gem of a cabin for a small family getaway
A great overall cabin experience. Very rustic feel with just enough modern amenities. Nice and quiet property far enough away from others. You’ll feel completely secluded here. And a few nice added touches and friendly helpful hosts make this a must-visit.

Everything was as promised and then some. This cabin is amazing, so warm and inviting. The muffins, eggs and orange juice were above and beyond. If you want to simply relax and enjoy the outdoors this place is for you. I would definitely come back! A little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Thanks Doug and Jennifer

Everything was so relaxing. Was amazed at the welcoming hospitality fruit, cereal, fresh eggs, juice, and milk. Scenery is beyond beautiful! Would recommend to anyone looking for quiet, peaceful, nature. Seen deer and turkeys. Would recommend bringing lawn chairs for the fire pit. The set up is great and authentic but kind of uncomfortable. Would definitely come back!

Absolutely glorious
The property was everything I'd hoped for and more. As we were driving up the driveway, we just said wow! They said it was secluded and it certainly was. I believe I saw two cars go by for the two days that we stayed there. The hosts were so generous. They left us farm fresh eggs, local milk and butter, fruits, cereals, coffee, muffins and more. They called us at the house when we arrived. They said if we need anything at all just contact them. It was too bad we couldn't see the total eclipse from there, I'm sure we wouldn't have left the place Highly recommend the place if you're looking for seclusion.

Beautiful Cabin Retreat
This weekend at the cabin far exceeded our expectations. Secluded and surrounded by nature's beauty - you could almost feel the history of the land. It is very difficult to find such a lovely, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated cabin, especially with a wood-burning fireplace. The hosts went above and beyond to provide food and snacks - which were not only a pleasant surprise they were thoughtfully prepared and excellent choices. The hosts made certain we were comfortable and had no questions. It was a pleasure to have that personalized service. Check-in and check-out were a dream. The cabin was immaculately clean and no detail was overlooked to attend to our comfort and enjoyment. Our stay here was without a doubt, in a word, exceptional.
