"Bearing in mind that it was a Youth Hostel and not a hotel, we were very happy with our accomodation. The room was large and had a fridge which was a big plus for us. The beds were comfortable and everything in the en-suite bathroom worked well. The only downside was a lack of electrical sockets - there were two in the room and the fridge had to be plugged into one of them but we managed by charging a power bank when we were out and using that to charge mobile phones. "A good offering for a cheap hotel. Rooms are quite small but the bed was comfortable enough. I would recommend brining your own shower gel though as the sachet the hotel provides is not very good. Would use this property again. "

"We really liked the staff that chatted with us and helped out when we had issues with the TV--never did get it to work! The hotel was fun to roam around but the breakfast was limited and there was no one that helped out with the food. The room was very pretty and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay aside from a few flies and the outdoor odor of pigs."

"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to mosquitos we had to keep the doors closed. The room was unpleasantly warm. That said: we were in Blokhus during the warmest week of the year, the weather and the beach was amazing ☀️ "
