"For an area that doesn’t have much around, this hotel is closest to the train station where some family restaurants/cafes and supermarkets are. We also want to say the staff are super friendly and helpful especially the young man at check in counter. The onsen is also being managed well but some foreigners didn’t wash their bodies before getting into the onsen. I hope the staff will remind them about that at check in. "

Only a couple of the overly numerous front desk staff speak reliable English. As in all Japanese hotels I have used, very poor TV offerings in English, almost pointless. I have stayed at this hotel for two to three week stays in three of the past eight years as I have family in Tokyo. Would have been more except...

"Old fashioned hotel with easy access to JR station. Large room and fast check in and Checkout process. Neither the public bath (tiny and uncomfortable changing room), nor the breakfast (average food at a unsuiting banquet hall) met our expectation on new year's day. No VIP access perks were given. "

"We were told the privilege of VIP afternoon tea lounge access, and ended up paying for the cakes with an excessive price tag which was not even noticeably displayed for the customers. Felt like to be cheated, and VIPs supposed to have access to drinks and snacks provided in the room. "
