This oceanfront retreat will be sure to have you feeling like this is your home away from home. Perfect for families, sleeps 11 guests – 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Star gazing and dolphin watching is a must. You will feel like you're on a private beach with no public access nearby.

Rest to the ocean breezes and sound of the waves in the oceanfront queen bedroom with a private deck. Watch amazing sunrises from the balcony or the comfort of your bed. The adjacent queen also features a private deck with magnificent views of the sound with stunning sunsets. The kids room has a bunk bed with a queen size bed on the bottom -twin above, and another full size bed. The kiddos will love the Oceanview from their room and small deck. The King Suite off the main living areas has full bathroom in close proximity.

Coastal charm flows throughout the home from the décor and furnishings to the light and airy vaulted ceilings. Enjoy family meals in the updated kitchen that is fully stocked with quartz countertops and a full dining area. Deck expands beyond great room for breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Direct beach access is available anytime. Walk right out to the beach from the main deck.

Amenities for this property include washer/dryer, oversized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, central air/heat, wireless internet, smart TVs available in all bedrooms and great room, ceiling fans, carport, board games, beach chairs and sand toys, and 3 sundecks.

June, July, August- 7 night minimum with Saturday check in/out.

Location is approximately 5.5 miles north of Surf City roundabout.

Fabulous Atlantic Beach Experience
A laid back, family-friendly area with terrific beaches and nearby groceries. A sea turtle focused island, an opportunities to charter boats for ocean or inland cruising. A great time was had by all.

Totally Relaxing
The property exceeded all our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Toiletries were provided in the bathrooms which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect, right on the beach. There were a couple of occasions when needed to contact Christina and she always responded very quickly. We had a lovely relaxing week and hope to return next December. We can highly recommend this cottage.

Fabulous Duplex!
As a frequent Topsail visitor for the last 18 yrs I’ve vacationed at many different places on island! I highly recommend this property! Owners are very responsive and have made sure the property is been taken care of. The house was clean and bright with a well stocked kitchen. Location on beach was perfect and the outdoor furniture was lovely! We were a group of 6 women in our 50’s and we had plenty of space! We would stay here again.

Perfect beach vacation
We were so pleased with our beach vacation. Everything about the house, the location and the beach were perfect. Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. There were two decks we enjoyed sitting on that overlooked the ocean. From the kitchen, dining room and living room we could see the ocean waves. Every morning we woke up to the sound and view of the ocean from our bedroom. Communication with the owners was great. It truly was a perfect vacation we will always remember.

Carolina Castaway Girls' Trip
The duplex was clean - a must IMO - and beautiful. We enjoyed the deck/balcony from which we watched the sunrise and the ocean. Everything needed was provided but we made sure to take some extras. The beach was right at the end of our walkway which we appreciated so much! The beds were nice but the mattresses were firm almost to the point of hardness, so if you like a soft bed be prepared!

Superb location on beach & clean!
We spent a fabulous week here & will definitely be back. The location is perfect, a few minutes drive to the bridge for shopping or down to the Surf City restaurants. The produce stand is a short walk if you need fresh fruits, veggies or bread. The beach is literally STEPS away from the deck & feels almost private. The house & linens were CLEAN. The mattresses & pillows were surprisingly comfy. The closets were stocked w/extra pillows & blankets. The house felt quite cozy. The kitchen is small, but equipped. We cooked daily meals for our family of 5 easily. Having a propane grill was a huge plus! There were boogie boards, chairs & thankfully an umbrella (ours broke from the crazy wind) to borrow. The full size washer & dryer was nice. The main floor bedroom/bath was perfect for my relatives with mobility issues. There’s one flight of stairs to enter the home, but once inside they were ok. There’s two steps down the back walkway to the beach. The owners are very responsive. Overall, I highly recommend staying HERE!

Absolutely Fantastic!
We rented this ocean front property for a 50th birthday with our friends. Christina was awesome and the place was immaculate. It was steps to the beach and exactly as described. Christina communicated quickly and even went above and beyond to make this a special stay for my friends. The rooms were cozy and very comfortable for all. This rental was exceptionally equipped and we never once needed something that was not available. From cooking utensils to beach chairs to water toys to linen and basic supplies... Christina provided them! I would absolutely and without question rent this property again as would all my friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We made some wonderful memories!

Wonderful place to Stay, definitely booking again. Highly Recommend!!!
What a great place to stay!! We can not say enough good things about it. My family and I had so much fun staying at this home. We found the home to be very comfy, warm and inviting. The direct beach access is a total PLUS. You feel like you have your own private paradise where the beach is quiet, relaxing and has some of the most beautiful & breathtaking views. We were even able to watch the schools of dolphins almost every morning. We had 7 adults and 1 toddler and found it to be very spacious too, well until you have a toddler who gets all his toys out and spreads them everywhere. lol. All kidding aside, I could not thank Chris and Christina for their prompt attention to detail and quick responsiveness, that means a lot and speaks volumes about their characters. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a welcoming, quiet, warm and peaceful vacation spot, definitely give this property some consideration. Chris and Christina are wonderful people to deal with and we will definitely be looking to book from them again in the future.

Stress-free, Spacious, Comfortable and LOTS of extras!
We stayed at Carolina Castaway the week of 6/25 - 7/2. The reservation and communication with the owners was quick and so easy. When we arrived at the property, we are blown away by the beautiful views from each room. Having the beach right outside your door was such a wonderful experience. The home was clean-overall, spacious with plenty of room for the family. The beds were nicely appointed with beach decor, the beds comfortable. The bathrooms were adequate for our needs. The kitchen was well laid out and included so many items that you wouldn't think would be with a rental and it was so nice to not have to make-do without the simple kitchen gadgets. We made good use of the fridge and keurig coffee maker. It was convenient to be able to buy groceries and cook vs going out for each meal. There were beach essentials under the house in enclosed cabinets that came in handy. Plenty of boogie-boards. They had lots of kids sized boards on hand so my son learned to boogie-board for the 1st time! We enjoyed our time on the semi-private beach; relaxing, playing in the perfect-temp water, building sand castles, soaking up the sun and enjoying the wonderful ocean breezes. We got up early a couple of days and were able to capture the most breathtaking sunrise pictures! There's nothing like a NC Coastal Sunset and we had the perfect views in the evening. The chairs and couch out on the porches were so comfortable. We spent plenty of time relaxing in them. We absolutely recommend this home for your family vacation! We had a blast and were also able to relax. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Needs improvement
This house overall is a gem. It’s on the water, quiet and spacious; perfect for relaxation. However, the property changed hands at the end of last summer and the immaculate condition/upkeep has gone by the wayside. This past week was full of issues. Here is a detailed but non-exhaustive list: -Queen bedroom overlooking the water - upon arrival, found dead roach, stained spare blanket, cheese ball dust on bed/mattress pad and a treasure trove of candy wrappers, gold fish, cheese puffs and empty snack bags under the bed. The track to slider door black with grime. -Upstairs bathroom tub not draining; ankle deep in water when showering. -Bedroom facing road had stained pillow and chair -Roach in kitchen; multiple roaches on outside deck rail. They were active at night so it made sitting out uncomfortable -litter in grassy area surrounding walkway (pieces of kids toys and trash) -kitchen light fixture dirty -black mold surrounding ceiling vents in kitchen and living room -infant onesie and goldfish crackers in and behind couch -Empty soda cans behind bedside table in King bedroom -lower bathroom had odor of cat urine and a shower curtain with mold at the bottom -Dust on baseboards and window sills; black grime on all slider door tracks -Inside of refrigerator not wiped down -Upon arrival, dirty dishes in dishwasher sitting in dirty water because unit would not drain -broken garbage disposal -upon departure, water leak discovered under sink These items by themselves are not a big deal. However, cumulatively, it put a damper on things. The owners made initial contact to say the keypad for entry was broken and we needed keys. In addition, the king comforter was in the washer and needed to be put in the dryer. When we messaged about the dirty bedroom, it was not initially acknowledged. It took a 2nd (verbally direct) msg before Christina apologized. A repairman was sent for the dishwasher. We came in off the beach at 4pm (his scheduled arrival time) and he showed up after 5pm. In the end, the issue was not fixed. The expectation here was a basic level of cleanliness and not using my annual vacation time to assist with broken items. The owners were communicative, but no offer was made to “right” the situation; disappointing as is the wasted $195 cleaning fee. If they can work out the issues, this is a super place. Until then, buyer beware as the current conditions do not match the increased rates for next year.
