"I stayed in both the regular and the budget Ibis in Le Puy en Velay. Both were great. For the savings, I would probably stay in the budget Ibis again because it had everything I needed and it was right across from the train station. Both are convenient for touring the town or beginning the Camino."

"We went there as an alternative to staying in an ibis , the renovation of this chateau was great, although the rooms are hot no air conditioning or fans provided, we asked about dinner and they said yes but the meals were limited and we’re heated by a micro wave , the staff tried hard and we’re pleasant , when we got there the door was locked (after 4.00pm) and took a while to get in touch with them. "

"Our 2nd visit didn't disappoint. We stayed in a lovely room above the restaurant which was spacious, well appointed and with a large window with Juliet balcony. The room had 2 easy chairs to sit by the open window and look over the garden and river. Breakfast is extensive in a lovely room overlooking the river. The setting is the best we have ever experienced and chairs are provided for you to sit on the side of the river. Food is exceptional and as in previous reviews, the vegetarian...

"The pictures and description of this place online do not do it justice. We had no idea to expect that we'd drive a rough cobblestone road up the mountain to stay the night in a fairy tale castle, complete with a tower and a truly BREATHTAKING view of the countryside from our tall French windows which opened up to admit a fragrant breeze.
