"Excellent room, clean and large (king double) great facilities. My only, very minor issue was that I was working nightshift and I could not block out light from the window under the a/c unit. Like is said, 1st world problem. Amazing motel and would certainly stay again. Bed comfortable, shower hot, a/c cold. Highly recommended"

"I found the Southgate Motor Inn, very clean with my one-bedroom apartment cleaned daily while I was out. The only issues I had was that the Wi-fi kept cutting out and was very slow which didn't help with my workload, and the noise from the neighbouring apartments. "

"When we checked in, we found a dead cockroach and ants in the kitchen. Because of this, we had to go to the supermarket to buy insect spray. However, the most disturbing part was that while sleeping, one cockroach even crawled on my daughter which greatly frightened her and sleepless all night long. Upon further inspection, we found leftover chocolate under the bed, seemingly left by a previous guest. "

"Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Room was an upgrade which was spacious and comfortable with a kitchenette, laundry facilities and quiet. Easy off street parking included is a bonus. Close to shopping and eateries, with a very short walk to the lake and aquatic centre."
