Spring Creek Cottage is well-appointed cabin in the Smoky Mountains located in the highly sought-after resort, Shagbark! The cabin is all on one level with one additional TV Room/Sleeping Area located downstairs with its own private entrance. When you walk inside you will notice the open and airy dining room and living room. The bedroom is privately located on the other side of the home from the living room. The living room and dining room have their own half bathroom and the bedroom has its own bathroom with large custom shower! The bedroom has a private access to the deck and hot tub just steps away!

The large living area can act as a second bedroom that is perfect for kids or additional guests!

From the decks you will be able to view an abundance of wildlife from Deers to Bears and everything in between. When seated on the deck enjoying the views, you will feel perched within the trees look down into the mountain's valley.

THE LOCATION
The location of Spring Creek Cottage is truly one of its best amenities. Located on a ridge overlooking the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, you will be immersed in nature’s beauty and serenity. The Shagbark gated community features 24/7 gated security, walking paths, pool, tennis court, basketball court and gorgeous mountains inhabited by incredible wildlife like white-tailed deer and hummingbirds. Minutes down the road is a local grocery store to stock up on any missing essentials. For larger grocery needs, Kroger and Publix are available. Just a few minutes away in Pigeon Forge you will find hundreds of top-rated restaurants and attractions like Dolly Parton’s Dollywood and Stampede, Paula Dean’s Family Kitchen, Old Mill Restaurant, Hatfield and McCoy Dinner show and much more! Based on the choice of our owners, dogs are allowed in "pet-friendly" cabins only, no cats or any other animal. There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee for each pet. There is a maximum of 2 pets per pet-friendly cabin. Pet size is limited to 50lbs per pet. All pets must be leashed at all times or kenneled when left alone in the cabin. Pet owners are responsible for the cleaning up of any pet refuse. Pet fee does not cover additional cleaning that cabin may need after check-out; the guest is responsible for any extra cleaning charges. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations as well as flea and tick preventative medications. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. If a pet is found in any of our units that do not allow pets a fee of $250 will be charged to the guest, your reservation may be cancelled, and your party may be evicted without refund.

Not really great for dogs!

The cabin itself was ok. This cabin is dog friendly but I'm gonna warn you there is absolutely NO GRASS at or near this cabin property. It is on the side of a hill in the woods.This was super inconvenient and I feel like other guests dogs urinated on the rugs in the cabinbecause of this

property is in fair condition needs more maintenance alot of insects inside the house pet hair all over the place not the best place to stay at specially for the price there are other places that pay more attention to how clean the place is.

A true nightmare!

The cabin smelled musty, had up security cameras without divulging on VRBO listing in the description which is a VRBO violation, was misrepresented and not pet friendly as advertised. There was no grass for a dog to use the restroom. One side went straight up and the other was straight down. We were told that dogs are smart enough to not fall off the cliff by Korey, Summit Cabin rentals. I was also told there is grass around the area, suggesting at 1:00am we should put our dog in the car and go search for grass. My dog does not use the restroom in the house or on a pee pad. She is housebroken to go to the restroom in the grass. I also had to call after 5:00 pm to get my key code that they did not send me until I called at 5:02 and they were "on their way out to go home." This is without giving me my check in information, key code. I have the time stamped email from Summit Cabin rentals at 5:03 pm for a 4:00 check in. So much here I could write a book! We were not offered any solution and I was overtalked, bullied and staff was argumentative, condescending with a raised voice and defensive treating me as though I am stupid. We did not stay at all and were lucky enough to get a cabin with Hearthside Cabin rentals and was able to enjoy our stay.

Our vacay

The cabin was nice. The lighting could have been brighter because with all the tree coverage it was pretty dark even with the lights on. They are also in need of a new mattress as that one is old and bumpy. Otherwise it was quite nice. Conveniently located as it wasn't far from our planned activities.

Terrific getaway

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Cabin was private , clean , and well appointed. View from windows and deck was beautiful. Hot tub worked wonderfully and was relaxing . Location was central and close to the major attractions. Very nice , would stay here again .

Quaint and out of the way

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The directions through the gated community/resort were a bit off so it was rather difficult to find the cabin initially, especially after dark. The purpose of the visit was for quiet relaxation within the changing autumn leaves. We weren't disappointed. The cabin was deep in the woods/mountains, surrounded by trees. While there are other cabins in the area, they are far enough away to offer privacy and we never heard a sound from any of them. It was peaceful and relaxing.

Great Weekend

We have such a great weekend. My only complaints is the bed and couch were super uncomfortable. Not a deal breaker though. Also the back deck had a light but it didn’t not work. So there was no light to light up the grill or hot tub. The flood light worked, but it only covered the back of the house. With Bears very active right now we wouldn’t use the hot tub or let our dog out after dark. Overall the cabin was nice and clean and we had a great time. Definitely will be back!

Beauty and Peacefulness

My husband & I celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed at the Spring Creek Cottage. Everything was wonderful except the cabin had a musty odor. Never have stayed in a cabin, maybe this can be a normal thing. I think a dehumidifier would be beneficial for this cabin. My husband's allergies were triggered and he developed some symptoms. Also, as we walked into the cabin something fell onto the floor. A big Wolf spider (looked like a tarantula) had fallen from the bathroom sliding door. We killed it with the dust pan. Overall, I would say we enjoyed the experience, but we would stay somewhere else because of the smell.

Excellent Labor Day get away

This cabin was perfect for a weekend trip to the Smokies! It is secluded in the mountains. If you bring your pet, there is a small gravel potty area to the back of the cabin. The cabin was clean and well appointed. It is a short drive to all of the main attractions (assuming traffic isn't at a stand still). We would definitely stay again!

Very nice property, comfortable bed

This property exceeded my expectations. I experienced some hiccups with the door code at check-in, but the host was attentive to the issue and sent a maintenance tech out promptly to remedy the situation. The pool area is nice. The hot tub was a sweet perk too!

Clean Cabin

We had a nice stay, cabin was clean. We had our dog and there was no place for her to goto the bathroom (no grass area). Other than the trip up and down the mountain for the dog to use the restroom, everything was good.

Beautiful cabin

We had a very nice stay with our fur baby Chewie. We had beautiful sunrises with coffee on the deck & the sounds of the creek were very soothing relaxing in the tub. Thank you for arranging the mom & her two cubs to walk through the deck at 5:30am. We enjoyed watching them visit play & walk down the road. Was very happy to see everything was bear proof in all of the resort! Will definitely stay again.

First Time to Pigeon Forge

Cabin was so cute and very clean. You can tell they take care of it. We had our two teenagers, and our fur babies with us. The pull out couch was perfect for the girls. The WiFi was out due to a storm, but they tried to fix it right away. The DVD/ sound system was very complex… took a little while to figure out. The only thing I would suggest is make sure you have an SVU. We do thank his. The drive up to the cabin from the gate is about 8 mins and very bumpy. Other than that I highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

We loved staying at this property! The location was perfect to enjoy downtown or to have a relaxed weekend. Property was very clean and we had no issues! We will definitely be using this property again the future!

Good Place to Land

Working with the cabin management company was good and we definitely won't shy away from their other listings, but the cabin was a bit lacking. The overall cleanliness was pretty good, but the cabin definitely has some miles on it. The most disappointing thing about the cabin was the overall quality and workmanship of the finishes. It seemed like there was a hope and plan for high-end finishes and feels, but the execution wasn't there. Not to mention, the view isn't great and lower level room feels like an afterthought. However, the cabin is pretty conveniently located in Shagbark and made getting to and from activities easy enough to be a good place to land in the evenings.
