The property is exactly as advertised. It is the upstairs half of an older Victorian house that has been redone inside. It has everything one might need, to include a parking spot in the alley behind the house, a key consideration for us. The rate is lower than that of other "more polished" rental properties that are in the center of the historic district, in some cases a lot lower; those do not often include a parking spot. The house is close to Krogers (with a Starbucks inside) as well as another coffee/breakfast place. It is very walkable to downtown (~1 mile/15-20 min) assuming you have no health impediments. Yes, there are stairs. Again, this was not an issue for us. House has a lot of charm - old wood floors, big windows, etc., but the doors/floors creak, the bathrooms are not overly large, etc.; it is an older home. It is also on the outer edge of the Victorian district where some of the gentrification is still in-progess but most homeowners take good care of their properties. The owner made a lot of information (pamphlets, written descriptions of restaurants etc.) available about the area, which we found very helpful. Beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the handy use of the in-unit washer and dryer. We had a great stay.
