"Upon arrival, the staff member was courteous, attentive, and accommodating. There was a seamless process to get my room keys and squared away for the evening. If there’s any negatives, it was only that there were dead ladybugs smashed on a few of the walls as well as on the floor. "Loved-Mrs. Brenda at the front desk she was amazing!! Dislikes- Bathrooms in rooms need exhaust. Without them the hallways smells horrible. During breakfast time the maintenance staff, although he was trying to help someone with the waffle maker, he was in the middle of mopping and did not wash his hands and touched several things such as the waffle maker and he removed the waffle mix container im guessing to have it filled. Again after touching his mop, broom and dustpan."

"I loved everything about this property. They let me check in early with no extra cost, they also had a "kick back" in the lobby where we were able to socialize with others over free food and drinks. The staff was Great and bartenders were amazing. If you go, ask for Nate at the bar. He sure will get your right! "

"On the Historic Registry of Hotels. It is the kind of place we choose to stay. Quiet. Nice thick walls. Don’t be put off by the small elevator or aged halls. The room was lovely. Updated. Clean. Comfortable QUIET. Staff is first rate and the restaurant served the best salads. All portions large and prices quite low Staff are friendly and helpful. We had three crazy “grandkid sports days”. This was our sane retreat. Directly across from the Capitol building…a piece of the age of elegance "
