About this property

Junior Suite - Large, 2 king beds, 1 private bath in great and historic location

Just minutes from beautiful Sarasota Bay and lovely beaches! This upstairs junior suite, 2 king beds, 1 BR with private bath is located near Downtown Sarasota and the beaches. 5 minutes to Downtown, 5 minute drive to Lido Key Beach, close to Siesta Key! The Reserve Retreat boasts onsite restaurant, coffee and tea shop, craft beer and wine bar, a small independent bookstore, and live music. Free self-serve coffee in our Coffee Shop Tues-Sun beginning at 8a.

We have two on-site restaurants! Tuesday-Sunday Chef Jesus serves American fare breakfast and lunch from 8a-2p. Eat indoors at The Café or outdoors on our lovely courtyard.

The Reserve Kitchen by Chef Antonio is open 7 days a week. Dinner is served daily from 4:30-9:30pm. Enjoy lunch on Saturday and Sunday from noon-4. Dinner and lunch are served in a more formal setting in the lovely dining room.

The Reserve Retreat is a landmark property, steeped in Sarasota's rich art and cultural heritage. The three buildings were part of circus magnate Charles Ringling's estate before his Mansion was built. At various times, it was a boarding house and a circus performance venue. Today, it is a redeveloped gorgeous property with three buildings on a single parcel joined by a beautiful outdoor courtyard. It is across the street from the Sarasota Bay and just minutes to Downtown, and both Lido Key and Siesta Key beaches!

Conveniently located near Downtown Sarasota, the beaches, St. Armand's Circle, many performing arts venues, restaurants, and more! A great Sarasota escape close to the arts and nature and much more.

Washer and dryer on-site, too. Beach chairs and beach towels can be checked out for your convenience. Too many great points to list here!

The place is wonderful the owner and employees are also. The only reason gave less stars on description is the restaurant for dinner was not open or live music which is part of why I booked it. But we walked downtown and there is many many restaurants.

Great Place with a few quirks
Kim and her staff were super inviting and friendly, from the time we arrived, until we left. The room was very clean and well appointed, and the brunch and coffee shop were great. They were transitioning to a restaurant the week were there, and it went rather smooth. There are two things that could be made more readily apparent. 1- The Otto Ringling room we stayed in faces the main road running through Sarasota, to the beaches and downtown. Lots of road noise, and on top of the construction that is going on, it is extra congested. 2- They have an open mic night, and an occasional concert outside the courtyard, which is also right up against the Otto room. Very noisy, on the outside, and if there is inclement weather, they bring it inside, which makes it louder. That being said, they do a good job of clearing everybody out around 10, with the kitchen staff and stragglers making noise until around 11 pm. It’s not a very big issue since it’s not an every week thing, but they could put it on the website and give people a heads up. 3- The location is great. Minutes from downtown, and 15 minutes to St. Armands. 4- As guests, there could be a discount on brunch, or at the coffee shop, and reserved parking in the little lot, but not a big issue. Overall, a great visit, and a great place to stay, as long as you expect to not go to bed before 10pm from the restaurant, and 730 with morning traffic.

Wonderful trip
We absolutely loved our stay at the Reserve. The owners Jess and Kim go out of the way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The open mic night brought out some great local talent. The room was super clean and comfy. We will definitely be returning.

Quick getaway
We had a very nice time at the Reserve. Although we weren't able to stay in the room we booked due to city construction, they upgraded us to their villa which was spacious and very nice. The place has a very eclectic vibe to it, so it was easy to relax. It was also centrally located so we were able to visit several other places quickly. Every one was extremely hospitable and friendly. If I lived in Sarasota, I could see myself visiting this spot frequently.

Great stay
Friendly, hospitable staff. There is an amazing little coffee house on site! Loved the room and location. The only down side was the traffic noise. There is a noise machine to help drown it out, that was a nice touch.

Stayed in the Otis Ringling Suite. Quaint and unique.
The Reserve turned out to be a perfect weekend getaway. It was unlike any other stay in that you’re not in a cookie cutter location. Rooms are great. Live music on the weekend. So quant and friendly. Great coffee bar on the premises with local beer on tap at al times.

Expensive, noisy & bad service. Has potential
Comfortable room/bed and good WiFi, coffee, cookies. Noisy road outside room (need good windows), couldn’t understand when breakfast was open & not enough towels. Thought room was kind of expensive for what you get. We liked the nighttime music in the courtyard

What a welcoming and cozy surprise! This location is a must if you're in Sarasota!
We were so pleasantly surprised with how welcoming and cozy our stay was at The Reserve. Having a fun cafe, bookstore and wine bar just downstairs was so convenient, and we're sad our stay wasn't longer. The room felt like a home away from home, and had everything you could need for weekend away. The staff was super helpful and had plenty of amazing suggestions for its patrons. We will definitely be back again when visiting Sarasota or Siesta Key!
