"This was our first Christmas to be just the two of us in 20 years of being together. The cabin was clean and well furnished. This by far was the cabin with more to offer than I have ever seen. There is a large book and DVD collection. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and spices and everyday needs. We hung out at the cabin on Christmas Day and then ventured into Salida on the day after Christmas. This is an amazing area and the views are just stunning. "

"Very well maintained and clean cabin, and our host was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, the hot tub, and the privacy of the cabin. Outside of the master bedroom is a stream you can hear at night while sleeping. We had everything we needed and our kids are already asking to stay there again for future ski trips to Monarch. "A River Runs Through has lots of beds and space for a large family. The only suggestion is to get some new pillows for some of the beds as some of them were very flat. We had a great time and it was a great home base for us, even had an office for some privacy to work."

The house is in a great location close enough to town but also away enough to get some seclusion. Amazing views in every direction. It had everything needed including firewood for those cold nights."

The home is bigger than it appears in pictures, and very comfortable. Our group of 9 fit perfectly. It's also perfectly located an easy 10 minute drive from town and restaurants.
