Nice hotel w some frills, beware the extra charges
Generally, a pleasant hotel with pleasant staff and quite quaint furnishings/decoration. The downside is mainly the extra additional charges for things you would normally expect to pay for only in budget hotels and this is not a budget hotel. The deck chair costs 2 euros a day and the umbrella costs 2 euros a day (indeed separate charges for the two). The beach towel or more like the towel for the deck chair requires a deposit of 20 euros. There is also a charge for the use of the safe, and the standard starters they serve for dinner - feta cheese, olives and bread are extra charges too. Otherwise, the seafood served at the restaurant is excellent. The buffet breakfast is not great but adequate. I ended up not using the safe but made a point not to leave behind any valuables in the room so conspicuously. While I would have preferred having a spot in the sun away from the beach bar where it was less crowded, this was where it was less windy; and man, was it really windy there! I had a massage everyday except when the spa was closed (on a Thursday) because it was that good!

Odjo d'Agua er et smukt hotel beliggende direkte til stranden med en dejlig udsigt over stranden ved det centrale Santa Maria. Betjeningen er venlig og professionel. Balkonerne med deres hængekøjer passer fremragende til stilen. Eneste to minusser er at stranden er lidt bedre tættere på molen (ingen sten - man kan dog blot gå 150 m), og kokken kunne være skarpere.

Not quite what we expected from a junior suite. Not much water under the shower with few warm water. It always changed between cold and warm. We couldn't stay longer in our room and didn't get another (smaller room) although we were obligated to stay until 10pm as our flight was at night. So we "lost" a day... The staff was always friendly but never too engaged. After 2 weeks cape verde the menu at the restaurant and breakfast was not so varied.

Real guest house for real people
We must admit that we were a bit sceptic when we arrived, but soon fell in love with the guest house and it's staff,owner and Toby. The owner really cares about the locals and they care a lot about him and his guest house. If you you have an open mind and like to meet local people this is the place to stay. Would like to recommend a fishing trip with Lima and Milo (best barbecue seafood as a bonus) Thank you Francois for keeping it real. Best regards stiff Norwegians

perfect hotel.!
this was a fabulous hotel. clean room, safe(traveling alone), helpful staff, and the location was fantastic.beach and pool were terrific. the restaurant was superb. full breakfast(included), and the lunch/. dinner menu was outstanding. a gem of a hotel!

Une très mauvaise surprise...
Ayant réservé dans l'hôtel de charme, nous avons été désagréablement relogés dans un studio d'une résidence attenante qui n'avait rien d'un hôtel de charme.... Nos notes reflètent donc celle de cette résidence d'un moins bon standing. Sans en avoir été informés avant notre arrivée, sans discussion possible avec l'accueil de l'odjo d'agua

Mooie ligging
We hebben hier aan het begin en einde van onze rondreis drie dagen gelogeerd. Ligt in het dorp Santa Maria. Kamers zijn netjes en worden dagelijks schoongemaakt. Klein terrasje (met hangmat). Wij hadden uitzicht op een mooie binnenplaats (kamer 409). Zwembad is vrij klein maar het was er nooit druk. Ik had wel het idee dat de pomp (schoonmaak) alleen in de ochtend even aan stond, de rest vn de dag niet. Dat is een kweekbak voor bacteriën! Strandje ligt vol met stenen maar op 10 minuten lopen ligt een prachtig zandstrand. Ontbijt is erg uitgebreid. Restaurant voor diner is goed maar prijzen zijn behoorlijk hoog, bijna Nederlandse prijzen. Er zijn echter genoeg restaurants in de buurt.
