This open cabin is lovingly built to be a home away from home. It will hold 8 guests. The bedroom on the main floor is a King size bed, the bedroom in the finished basement is a Queen size bed, and the Loft has two Full size beds. The large kitchen is stocked with all the comforts of home and the family room is two stories, open to the loft and is the first sitting area with a TV. The finished basement has a pool table and an additional sitting area with TV. There is a large outdoor fire pit for beautiful nights out under the stars or roasting marsh mellows for your smores. The hot tub is located on the lower deck of the basement with views of the surrounding woods. Explore the 25 acres on trails that take you to the long 60ft tall rock wall streams, bridges and more. Bring your hiking boots...It is all hills!

This is a Pet Free and Smoke Free Cabin. We have cameras facing the driveways for security purposes.
**Remember this cabin is in the woods. Wifi is not super strong. Streaming is a "maybe". **

This was an excellent place to stay. We are looking forward to booking again next year. Made our first experience at Hocking Hills a great one. Only concern that I could see might be the stairs down to the cabin. Could be an issue for someone with a disability.

Great house!! Awesome location
The place is very clean and cozy. We loved it. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit and the one night it rained, we moved up to the main floor’s deck. Could really have spent another night there. My kids love it and want to come back again. My youngest fell in love with the moose and I promised her we’d come visit it again. Lots of hot water for multiple people to shower at once, kitchen is amazing, saw some neat wildlife and a really cool big moth. Very quiet neighborhood.

Awesome stay!
Just got home yesterday from a friends trip (5 of us went). Very nice property! The cabin was big enough so everyone didn’t feel on top of one another. The bean bag upstairs was comfy ! On the first day we did go out on the trails on the property. Would stay again !! Only thing that could make it better would be to add stairs linking the basement and main floor decks.

Black Bear - Great Experience!
We were looking to celebrate my brother's bachelor party over a long weekend at Hocking Hills, OH, and Black Bear Cabin is exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful cabin which felt brand new; incredibly spacious with great amenities (we loved the pool table, hot tub, fire pit, and grill!) and in an excellent location (~20 minutes from anything you would want to do in Hocking Hills like canoeing, golf, hiking, etc.). Check-in / check-out was straight-forward and instructions were well communicated. Mechele was an excellent host, checking in with us multiple times before our stay with reminders and helpful tips and made it clear she was available for additional help / questions throughout the trip. Would definitely recommend Black Bear to anyone - and hopefully will be back soon! Thanks again for a great weekend!

Great Property!
Property was super clean, and had upscale furniture/bedding. A very relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable place to stay. We never ran out of hot water. The firepit was awesome! Mechele is a wonderful host! We can't wait to come back:)

2 buddies and I spent 4 nights here for trail riding at the Nearby Wayne Forest. Worked out perfectly because of the bedroom layout. There's a bedroom and bathroom on each of the 3 levels. Deck area is perfect for grilling and relaxing after the days adventures

There were 3 couples.. and the place was perfect for us… the pool table and hot tub was fun… a dhir 10 minute drive to Logan… where you can find Walmart and restaurants… not too far from hiking, etc.., very well kept!😁

Excellent property!
We had a wonderful time! Plenty of room for our family gathering, very clean, kitchen has everything you need! Would definitely stay here again! The owner was great with communication. The only con, if there would be one, is that when people are walking around upstairs you can definitely hear every step on the level below. That was a bit annoying early in the morning but pretty typical for cabins like this. Again, otherwise, it’s a great place!
