"The property is very clean and well kept. You are given towels and you have full use of the kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. I'd like to recommend this to the owners of the property: Put a towel in the kitchen. You have to call them so they can give you a code to the key, it'd be so much convenient to maybe add a whatsapp option or even email as not everybody has a UK phone number and not everybody can communicate in English. It’s a few minutes walk from Tesco and car parks are a few minutes walk away. House has no parking but it’s free between 6pm to 8pm and the first hour is free between those hours. "Really enjoyed our stay. The caravan had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The ensuite bedroom with a bath was a bonus. Everything was spotless. The view onto the fishing lake was amazing and was lovely to sit out on the veranda overlooking the view. Facilities we're only a short walk away. Loved it

"Great location, friendly and helpful staff. We had a “cosy” room but it was big and lovely bathroom. My only complaint would be lack of power points. To use the kettle or coffee maker you had to go under the dressing table to swap the plugs and same to use the hairdryer. It was clean and very comfortable and a bonus we didn’t know about was you can walk straight into Burghley house grounds from the hotel. The breakfast was included and excellent. We chose the full English but plenty of options. We didn’t eat there for dinner but the restaurant did seem busy. Would definitely stay there again "

Fabulous and friendly

"Very friendly staff made this a thoroughly lovely experience. From the glass fo wine handed to you on arrival, you are left with the impression that the staff simply can't do enough for you. Excellent food in the restaurant (supper and breakfast) with prompt service thoughout. Even thought this was only a business stay, I would highly recommend this hotel to people visiting the area."

"We had a lovely stay at Candlesticks and would definitely stay again - comfortable, clean and quiet room, along with a friendly, responsive host. It's very close to all that Stamford has to offer and very convenient for Burghley House, plus has plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. The breakfast provided in our room was spot on!"
