Our arrival was delayed twice, first by a flight that arrived late, and then the trains were also running behind, but the host remained cheerful and patient and waited for us even though it was late into the evening. The location was central and close to the train station which was fortunate after a long day of travel. The apartment was clean and modern, with everything we needed. The host and his son went above and beyond to help us find a place to eat, accompanying us to restaurant after restaurant to see if anyone would take us (most were closing up). Finally, after climbing up a long hill, we were introduced to a lovely terraced trattoria that seated us right away. We were grateful for the extra efforts by the host and his son. The next day after checkout, we were allowed to store our luggage while we went exploring up and down the Cinqueterre region, another bonus. The host's wife, who watched our bags, was gracious and attentive. The only drawback of this stay was the train noise, which was infrequent and brief, but still audible overnight. Other than that, we thought it was great.
