The Gathering Place
This property is exactly the way it is described. We were all amazed at how expertly it was equipped. There is absolutely nothing we were lacking for a week stay. It is roomy and comfortable. The owner was easy to contact and work with. We loved having 2 family rooms to gather in. The kids could play upstairs and the adults visit downstairs. The yard is massive and lots of fun. (There was an enormous amount of mosquitos the week we were there. We have a few kids who live in the area and they said the mosquitos had just gotten bad in the whole area about the time we came). We had fun teaching the kids to use the property pogo sticks and stilts. We brought our own Sandy Pickleball set and put that up in the yard and played for hours. There is a tree house on the property with one wobbly board. We swept it out and the kids had fun going there and added their painted rocks to the ones already in there. We played pickleball at Nature Park, playground at the same park is incredible. Spent an afternoon biking in Idaho Falls around the temple. Also had some of us on Bird scooters which can be rented right by the temple on the river ride. We went to Jackson Hole and hiked in the Tetons. We went to the dunes with our dirt bikes and the kids hunted tadpoles which there are hundreds there. Went to Rexburg Rapids! Recommend....Crispy Cone, Cariannes, Blisters, MillHallow for eating! Great time and the property was perfect for our big family!! Five Stars!!!!

Perfect Winter Wonderland Location
This property was perfect for our large family gathering. Exceeded our expectations. Spacious in every room with plenty of sleeping areas. Clean. Updated. Well-stocked. Great communication with the host. BEAUTIFUL location with a small stream in the backyard. The kids had a blast with the ping pong table. 10-15 min drive to BYU Idaho. We did an Escape Room at Idaho Escape Rooms in Idaho Falls and had a BLAST! Area 51 room was engaging for the whole family ages 10-71.

Great time
We had a great stay. Plenty of room for our whole group. The house was wonderful. There was sufficient amounts of everything people could need. There was an abundance of room and beds and extra blankets and towels, you name it there were so much extras. I would recommend this house to anyone staying in the area.

Perfect Headquarters for St. Anthony Dune Trip
The Gathering Place was a great headquarters for our St. Anthony Sand Dunes trip. It was centrally located between Egin Lake staging and the town of Rexburg. The time to staging was around 10 minutes and the time to Rexburg was also around 10 minutes. The property was gorgeous. Very park like. A lot of green grass, big trees, birds singing and a flowing river with a nearby fire pit. We had some fun playing corn hole and we brought our own disc golf basket. Lots and lots of room to play. We had five trucks and flatbed trailers. There was plenty of parking in the field beside the house and we felt safe leaving our trailers and side by sides there as we went to explore other areas. We had the max amount of people and the only area that ever felt slightly crowded was the kitchen. It’s a little bit of a strange set up, but still works. We figured out the flow pretty quickly. The separation of the house was perfect for our group. The master bedroom, 2nd bedroom, kitchen, half bath and the living room downstairs. 3 bedrooms, a family room, and a bathroom upstairs. The kids could be upstairs playing and watching tv and everyone else downstairs playing games. A large dining table made that possible. We were a little worried about no air conditioning in the house, we had a couple of almost 90 degree days and it stayed pleasant and then cooled right down at night. I’m not sure how that would go later in the summer though. Sharie was great and stayed in communication with us. The whole house was super clean and even our germ-a-phob was happy. The ONLY negative would be that we did see a mouse. And when we tried to trap it, we ended up finding 2 dead mice in the vent. I think the dead mice happened while we were there because when we arrived that bedroom was clean and smelled fine. But somewhere around mid stay that room started to smell. The house is located in the county, near fields and they were doing some digging. Might be a one time thing. We would stay again!

Beautiful vacation home
This house was absolutely beautiful. We rented this home as our son was getting married. I couldn’t of asked for a more perfect stay. My most relaxing part of this was listening to the rapids in the morning while having a cup of coffee on the porch.

The Gathering Place Thanksgiving
We are so grateful to be able to stay at this beautiful home. I grew up in the area and was so excited to find a place we could stay where we could go to my extended families Thanksgiving activities. With two infants and a 2 year old it was a perfect set up. We loved being by the river and able to enjoy the peaceful quiet. I would highly recommend staying at this location.

Yellowstone Trip
We enjoyed the location of this house as well as the many attractions in and around Rexburg. The house provided everything you could need. Just come with your suitcase and a few toiletries and settle in like home. This was the first time my sister’s adult daughters (my niece’s) decided to do a family destination vacation. Families from AZ and Indiana traveled to Idaho to adventure together in Yellowstone. The Rexburg house was the perfect set up for kids ranging from 6-18 to be outside or in the garage interacting with each other, while parents got to catch up and visit without kids being right on top of us, but close enough to keep an eye on them. Breakfast and dinners around the table and bar afforded ample room for everyone as we had the max allowed people staying. In the evening the kids enjoyed eating dinner outside while the adults conversed inside around the table. Evenings were quite comfortable-days a little warm. I was concerned about no air conditioning during temps of 90°-97° but due to low humidity and several strategically placed fans it didn’t bother us. The cooler nights made the best sleeping weather and no one complained about their beds they were so comfy. This house made our family vacation a complete success.

Family Reunion Getaway
We had a great time on our little family getaway. The house was wonderful and stocked with everything we needed. There was a beautiful river running through the backyard and lots of space to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. Our boys loved the pogo sticks in the garage. Our one change we would have made is if it would have had air-conditioning. I failed to check that (my mistake) but it did happen to be in a very hot time in Idaho. The fans in the home did help to cool it off a bit, but the upstairs was warm to sleep. Other than that, it was fabulous. Any other time of the year, we would definitely come back again. The rooms were wonderful, the family rooms had room for everyone. It really was fabulous!

Nice, organized & convenient
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was so organized, clean, and had just what we needed. We liked being close to Walmart, but at the same time out away from any busy area. We liked having Snake River right behind the house. Roasting marshmallows and listening to nature, was calming. We also liked that within a couple hours drive or less, we could visit lots of places like Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Idaho falls. The owner was very considerate to make sure we had everything we needed at her home. Our whole family really enjoyed our time together and we were thankful to have such a nice play to stay together.

This place is AMAZING!!!!!
This home definitely lived up to its name. It was an awesome "Gathering Place" for our family. We brought the fam to Rexburg to visit our 2 girls at BYUI, the house was so awesome and so big they decided to stay with us. There were bedrooms and comfy places to sleep for all 8 of us. My younger kids loved the toys in the closet and all of the games in the garage. My girls loved the shabby chic decorations and pillows...they wished they could live in this home forever. We made meals together in the fully stocked kitchen, played games every night, watched movies, played in the snow, watched deer run through the backyard and much more. I loved being able to host this gathering for my family in this awesome home away from home. There wasn't a thing we needed during our stay, you guys thought of everything. Thanks for sharing your home with us and helping us create fun, lifelong memories with our kids.

Wonderful Home & Location!
We traveled to The Gathering Place in Rexburg from Washington, Colorado & Oregon and it was the perfect spot and home for all our families. The home is perfectly nestled on a private lane with an abundant amount of room for the kids to run and play! They loved the tree house. The peaceful setting outback with the river behind it was perfect for relaxing and playing! The home itself was supplied with everything we needed to feel like we were at our own home. Sherrie was outstanding with her communication and attentiveness to make sure we were enjoying our stay! (Even adjusting sprinkler times so we could enjoy the outdoors later into the evening.) While we were visiting we we to Rexburg Rapids waterpark, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Teton Lakes Golf course. The location is perfect for being able to fit those national parks in. The town of Rexburg, ID is great! We didn't want to leave and actually asked for another night but it was already booked. We left with our hearts full and have decided that our families will be trying to make this an annual trip and come back to this home! Absolutely a 5 star review!!!

Our stay was great. Unfortunately we were only using the Gathering Place to sleep and spending our days in Ashton with extended family. We all wished we had spent more time at this property. Kids enjoyed the games and toys in the garage. The backyard/surrounding land were gorgeous. Very comfortable stay. We were impressed that they had thought of everything! Very organized. Hoping to return and spend more time there.

Best Rental We've Used to Date
This home was perfect. I will start with the cleanliness. As soon as we stepped thru the door, we were greeted with the scent of a fresh cleaning. Everything was spotless. The linen and towels are white, and looked new, and of great quality. We loved that they are white, so you can be certain of the cleanliness. No colors to hide stains, etc. The home is very spacious. The pics don't do this property any justice. The owners or managers of this property have thought of EVERYTHING. If you want to bake cakes or pizza, casseroles, soup, anything really, there is every sort of pot/pan, mixing bowl, utensils, spices, etc. All of the cabinet doors and drawers are clearly labeled so you're never wondering where anything is. There is laundry detergent, dish soap, aluminum foil, saran wrap, mosquito spray, etc. Bring extra bug repellent because there are a lot of mosquitos. There are plenty of toys and games for the kids, and adults. The kids loved the pogo sticks, stilts, and ping pong table. The river is shallow directly behind the home so it's safe for kids to cool off in an already cool town. There is also a deeper section of the river located behind the property where the kids were able to swim. You can also fish for trout or trap crawfish, so come prepared if that's what you're in to. The yard is huge and with lots of trees and shade. The kids had a blast playing hide n seek and just running free. We enjoyed s'mores on the fire pit at night. There are two separate fire pits if you want two separate groups. The nights are dark, so when you look up you are greeted by a sky full of stars. We were lucky enough to see the Comet Neowise. An amazing sight. We had chosen this spot because it wasn't too far from Yellowstone. But do your homework before your visit, because there are lots of amazing things to see in the surrounding areas. I will like to prepare you though, this is a red State and they are proud of it. You will see lots of Trump flags and Gun flags. Being an interracial family, it was a bit concerning. But during our stay, we did not experience any racism, and most of the locals were very pleasant. This home is out in the country and we often walked down the little country road to look off the bridge into the river. More than less, we were greeted with a friendly wave from passerbys. With all that said, we loved our stay, and will hopefully be back in the future. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Great Location and Communication
The house was perfect with the group of friends I travelled with. We went there with our UTV’s and the location is perfect. It is 10-15 mins from the dunes and 15-20 mins from a parking lot that allowed us to day ride to west West Yellowstone. The location has extra space to park trailers and the garage was big enough for us to park our 4 UTV’s in. It has a great setting with the river in the backyard and it’s very peaceful at night. I will definitely use this place again when we come back. The communication with the owner was great and she was very quick to respond and very helpful with any needs we needed. I will definitely recommend this house to anyone coming to the area.
