"This was my fourth stay at Hotel Avra. It's clean, for great views and super close to the port. My only complaint is partly my fault. I accidentally booked the wrong day as I was flustered with a last minute flight change. The hotel refused to honor the reservation for the correct date even though they had more than enough rooms available both days and I caught the mistake within an hour of booking. (I had actually booked the room after check-in time and meant to do it for the next day.)...

"The property is too far out from transport, dining facilities, and too remote. The atmosphere and the views are nice but we felt we wasted a lot of time for the unavailabilty of what I mentioned, I wanted to book some short trips to areas in Athens but we the bus tour cannot pick and drop us back. "The staff was amazing. Very friendly and 24/7. Shower was great although they use a curtain which I don't like. There is access to the "beach" but bring water shoes. This is not sand but pebbles with seaweed. Still very beautiful. The pool was nice but it's salt water and not heated. Only about 25 minutes from the airport by taxi and there are lots of nice places to eat in the area. My only real complaint was the shower curtain and the inside of the hotel was quite bland with terrible...
