The bathroom dates and needs to be refreshed. There is mildew in the shower and the furniture is damaged from the water.

Lovely boutique hotel, freshly cooked breakfast options as well as buffet. Lovely room and staff, great reviews from the rooftop bar / pool over the grand harbour. Lovely and quit yet just a mins walk to the streets with restaurants on the steps and another couple of mins to republic st for the shops. Just 15 mins walk to the bus station. Would stay again!

This is a unique property in an old building which has been restored, in our view there isn't much sound proofing between the rooms as we could hear chairs being moved in neighbouring rooms and people chatting in the corridor and an argument in reception one morning. The person that checked us in was lovely and extremely helpful, but another staff member was unhelpful when I asked for ear plugs, even suggesting that the noises were imaginary. The spiral stairs were also noisy and getting a suit case up them difficult, with the bathroom on the lower level night times were fun. Lighting was mostly with spot lights (plus 2 bedside lamps on the upper level) which were very bright, adding a floor lamp on the lower levelwould be a good idea. Apart from 2 metal chairs on the balcony the only other seating was the sofa bed which wasn't comfortable, given the room was sold as accomodating 4 people a 2 person sofa seems somewhat lacking. The kitchenette was useful but there wasn't really space to store anything we purchased without a lot of moving things around. It did have a decent selection of plates, glasses etc and even a t-towel and washing up liquid. Privacy might be an issue for a family as the glass partition between the living space and bathroom doesn't lock and is only frosted in the middle. The breakfast option is useful with hot and cold choices, there are shops near by and cafes about 10 minutes away as an alternative.

Travelled to Malta as a family the last week in March. The Dragonara made for a perfect stay, the location is great, lots of restaurants nearby, even a good grocery store down the street. We rented a car and drove all over the island and day-tripped to Gozo. You would need to Uber, bus or drive to go to Valletta as it's too far of a walk from the Hotel. Our room was spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed the plunge pool and spacious patio. The staff were friendly and attentive, kept the place spotless and well stocked with water, towels, coffee etc... We made use of the large gym daily and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had everything under the sun! Would highly recommend this property and Malta is such an amazing destination, already dreaming of returning.
